I just installed an EVO-All with Crimestopper RF-KIT 642W using a T-Harness in my 2015 Jetta TDI with Push to Start. The factory fob still works and can remote start by pressing lock 3 times. The 642w fob can only remote start and remote stop the car. It has no control over the door locks or trunk. When I press the lock or unlock button on the 642w fob I see the blue led on the EVO-All come on slightly. What am I missing? Thank You!

Evo FORT3 standalone 1 key with rfkit Fortin 642 not remote starting explorer PIU

Hello, installed EvoFort3 standalone RS with 1 key to 2016 Ford Explorer PIU that is prewired with hood pin switch with no actual hood switched. I jumped the wires at the connector. Installed the harness per the guide with all options on with the Fortin f642 2way kit. Car will lock unlock etc but with the remote start, it does not crank. After the 2 attempts the Red LED flashes 3 times. With the wires jumped it does not show that the hood is open. Do i need to get that changed at the dealer? Assistance greatly appreciated. walter

2018 Buick Enclave Successfully Done With Envision Firmware and EVO-GMT6

Just to let everyone know I have successfully installed a EVO-GMT6 in a 2018 Buick Enclave with the firmware and install guide for the Buick Envision of the same year. BCM Location is exactly the same and programming is the same. However, Location of KEY reader isn't in the cup holder, it's located in the bottom of the center console centered and to the back.

2018 Toyota Highlander PTS EVO-ALL 642W AUX does not operate power lift gate?

2018 Highlander PTS, from what I can gather there is no viable solution to the liftgate option without an EVO-ONE. The 642W/EVO-ALL just sends a pulsed output to the liftgate as far as I can tell, but it requires a latching pulse. Anyone know of any current solutions?

Standare or Standalone?

service number 001A06 556424 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 Diesel, automatic, standard key, ON-Star I have the EVO-ALL module and the GMT-3 harness. All seemed to go well on the install but have questions and ready to put the firmware in and do programming. 1.Document indicates Lock/Unlock wires not needed with On-Star. Advise. I've only connected parking lights and CAN-BUS line. 2. When selecting firmware, I get standard or stand-alone question. Unsure of the difference. Also - what is the CORRECT document I should be looking at for following the complete installation for my setup. Thanks! Matt Bettendorf, IA

2018 Highlander Won't Start with Evo-All and T-Harness

Used the flash link to update the EvoAll unit to firware 79.45 Following the Stand-Alone Evo-All & THAR-TOY6 instructions, connected all connectors that are mandatory. Did not connect the "optional" wire to the push button start switch, what is it for? Also, did not install a hood pin as the 2018 Highlander should have hood sensor built into the ECU, yeah? Push lock 3x, blue light on EVO flashes with each push, then one flash, then nothing.

2011 Jetta Diode Installation

I am installing an Evo-All with a T-Harness and a bypass transponder in a 2011 VW Jetta with a standard key. The directions are stating to install a diode if the vehicle requires push brake to start. My vehicle does require this feature and I am trying tio understand how the diode is wired. The T-Harness directions are the only directions that show a diode in this circuit. Is the diode wired in series of the D2 wire (yellow/blue) at the Evo-all and the T-Harness? Is the T-Harness bypassed on this circuit and the diode is installed in series directly from the D2 wire (yellow/blue) to the BCM B3 (Black/Red)? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Which installation procedure to use, and why?

When installing EVO-CHRT6 in 2017 Dodge Journey with Push to start should installer use "Regular Installation" (12131) or "Standalone Installation" (12211). I believe this application will use regular as the EVO will be used by itself without another aftermarket starter.

Fortin Evo-All 2011 Audi A3

I'm trying to do a standalone installation of the EVO-ALL on a 2011 Audi A3. All of the wires are connected correctly and I made sure they are making a good connection. I held the prgramming button down and the lights started alternating. I relaesed the button when only the blue LED was lit. I then plugged in the 20 pin, connector, followed by the 6 pin connector, followed by the 5 pin connector. The LED remained blue throughout this process. I then turned the ignition to on. The bule LED went out, then started flasing after a few seconds. I turned the ignition off and the blue LED went out. When I press the factory remote 3X to start the vehicle, the lights flash and the dash lights come on, but it doesn't try to start. It does the same thing a second time and then the EVO-ALL turns off. However, if I sit inside the vehicle and press the brake, it will start the car, but it only runs for 1 or 2 seconds before shutting down. On this particular vehicle, although it uses the regular keyed ignition switch, you still have to press the brake to start the vehicle. Is there another connection that needs to be made for this to work properly? Thank you, Jason

Yellow wire no longer necessary on 2014-2017 Fusion?

In Late 2015 or 2016 I did an install of a Fortin EVO-ALL unit in a 2016 Fusion Push-to-Start. I believe I followed this guide when I performed that install, and it requires a minimum firmware version of 71.35. It required the yellow wire on the 20 pin connector to be connected to Ignition+ of the vehicle.

I am currently attempting to install the same (not physically the same unit, but one that was previously working, and meets the minimum hardware requirements [it is version 6] in a 2017 Fusion Push-to-Start, and the current guide listed by Fortin is this one, revised last month (April). This newer revison of the guide is listed for 2014-2017 Fusions, while the older guide was listed for 2014-2016. This guide requires ONLY firmware version 4.01, and makes no mention of connecting the yellow wire in the 20 pin connector to the vehicle for remote start, only power and CAN connections.

When connected in this manner, with the Fortin unit in programming mode (Blue LED only), turning the ignition of the vehicle on by pressing the Start button in the vehicle does not have any affect on the unit, the LED remains blue instead of flashing like it should. I verified connections a few times, and everything does appear connected as it should be according to this latest guide. I've tried reflashing the firmware on the unit a couple of times, and verifying all options, but to no effect.

The troubleshooting guide, as well as a few posts on here in regards to the light just staying blue, mention the yellow wire not being connected properly as a possible cause. So my biggest conecern/question at the moment is: Is the yellow wire supposed to be connected and was omitted in this latest revision of the installation manual? Or is my issue somewhere else? Hopefully someone here will be able to help me resolve my issue, and I would be very grateful. Thanks!

2008 g35x no longer needs OEM keyfob?

I just installed the EVO-NIST1 standalone with the Fortin RF642W RF Kit on a 2008 Infiniti G35x according to Guide 24031 and have a couple comments & questions after playing around with it:

1) LOCK x3 works with the OEM fob, however it cannot remote stop the car with LOCK x3 again. This is known, so it is not a problem.

2) After remote starting the car and unlocking it (either with door button or with either of the fobs), I can open the door, step on the brake, and I am able drive away. That works as intended, but the problem is I can drive away without having the OEM key fob around. The instrument cluster screen does not say NO KEY like it normally would if the key has left the car. In other words, one would be able to drive off without having any remote on them as long as the car gets remote started followed by an UNLOCK signal. Are remote starts intended to bypass the need to have the OEM Intelligent keyfob for the take-over?

3) While the engine is off, the LOCK signal from either the RF fob or OEM fob will lock the doors and prompt the RF antenna's LED to start flashing (blue) and will not stop unless I press the UNLOCK botton on either remote. What is this flashing for? Can this be disabled? I do not need or want any alarms or extra security features. I am more concerned about it draining the car battery. Please advise.

4) After remote starting, the first press of UNLOCK with the RF fob ONLY turns off the Antenna's flashing. I have to press unlock a second time to unlock the car, however it would unlock all four doors at once. I had configured it through Flash Link (B1 on) to unlock driver door on first press, and lock all on second press but that isn't the case. What exactly happens on the first UNLOCK that stops the antenna's LED flashes? Can I get the unlock button to unlock the doors on first press?

5) How does IDLE mode pertain to push-to-starts where the key does not need to be in the ignition? I'm guessing it is not needed but just want to be sure.

6) I had to use the RL2 connector to get remote starter to work, although the guide says RL1 for G35. This might be the issue with folks who cannot get their '07 - '08's  to remote start.

Dome lights no longer working following remote starter installation

Hello there

After properly installing the EVO-ALL standalone remote starter on a RAV4 Hybrid (2016, PTS) I have recently noticed that the cabin dome lights are not being lit when any door is opened. I have checked the fuses (OK), and the lights themselves are working just fine when toggled on/off manually for both front/rear in the cabin.

What do you recommend that should be done to the EVO-ALL installation for the dome lights to function again for this vehicle without removing the remote starter of course?

The days are getting darker up north and the dome lights become indispensable as we progress into winter.

Thanks!
