Coverage Area Evo Start

I see the coverage area for the EVO Start is rather small. is there any plans in the future to grow the network? I am currently in Edmonton AB, and I see there is no coverage. Also, is there a plan in the future to allow google assistant to control it?

FAQ: How do I know/how to test if my vehicle has an OEM alarm.

Just figured I would post this as I have often been asked...

" How do I know/how to test if my vehicle has an OEM alarm?"

Really simple to check, perform the following test:.

1- Put down the drivers window.

2- Ensure all doors are closed, including the hood and trunk.

3- Lock the vehicle using the OEM remote.

4- Wait between 45-60 seconds after you have locked the vehicle to allow the system to arm itself.

5- Once you have waited the time period reach inside the drivers door and open the drivers door from the inside handle. (basically replicating someone trying to steal your belongings/vehicle).

6- At this point your alarm will either go off or it won't, answering the question if your vehicle is equipped with a factory alarm!

Side note: good way to also test to see if your vehicle has a factory hood pin that is part of the alarm system is to do the above test but instead of opening the door first, reach in and pull the hood release latch. (useful on newer Mazda vehicles with factory hood pins that are part of the OEM alarm). If no alarm goes off, then open the drivers door. If the alarm goes off when you open the drivers door and not when you open the hood. Then this answers your question if the factory hood pin is part of the alarm system.

EVO ONE standalone

Can an EVO ONE be used as standalone remote starter on applications not needing bypass or data features?

Hopefully this hasn't already been asked before. I did not find an answer when searching the support forum here. I've got an older vehicle (1999 Dodge Ram) that could use a remote starter/keyless entry installed in it. I know I can accomplish this with one of the many high-amperage remote starter/RKE units available on the market. I'd like to stick with an EVO product, if possible, so I can potentially reuse the unit down the road on another vehicle. The truck has factory power windows/locks but does not have the Sentry Key system, so I will not need a bypass to complete the installation. Is there a way to use an EVO-ONE + RF KIT in this fashion? If so, is there an install guide for doing this? Thanks in advance for your help! -Darren

Help on using EVO-All in standalone mode with DSM50BT

Looking for help on using EVO-All in standalone mode with DSM50BT (The Bluetooth SmartStart module) We've had sucess with DSM200/250 (the GSM based units) but has anyone used the Bluetooth version of SmartStarrt, the DSM50BT? Are the settings required on the EVO-ALL the same as for the DSM200/250? Should "Supported RF Kits" still be set to H4?

Can a Directed 9474T Universal remote kit be used with EVO-ALL

I have an EVO-ALL installed currently in a 2005 Chrystler 300 using OEM 3X for remote start. I have a DIrected 9474T remote kit and want to use that instead of the OEM remote. Will it work and how would I connect it to the EVO-ALL. (and what programming changes for the EVO-ALL would have to be made.)
