2024 Nissan Sentra manual transmission, suddenly can't put starter in ready mode

I had an EVO-START LTE system installed by a reputable local installer at the end of October. The system has been working well, other than having to take it back once to get a setting changed so the doors wouldn't stay open after arming the starter. It is getting pretty cold here in Saskatchewan, but everything was working as expected up until yesterday. This morning when I came to work the car would not go into ready mode using the normal arming procedure and it won't respond to any lock or unlock commands from the app. I have also noticed that the GPS tracking is not working as it was previously, and is only updating periodically and not logging any trip info today. When I got to work, for example, it still said that my car was in my garage and the location had not updated in something like an hour. I have tried numerous times to get the system to go into ready mode and nothing is happening. Normally when I engage the brake and parking brake at the same time I can hear some clicks, the locks cycle, and I can arm the starter by locking the doors once I am out of the car. Now nothing is happening. I contacted the installer and they want me to bring the car in and leave it there all day for them to check it out. He has suggested that the battery voltage dropped too low the last time it remote started and it messed up the software / programming somehow. While it did get very cold last night, the car is brand new and I kind of doubt that the voltage is dropping very low. Any assistance is appreciated. Keep in mind that I do not have access to a flash programmer, as I did not personally install the unit. I would just like to get as much information as possible and ensure that there is not something wrong with my system, as it is only a few months old.

2015 Dodge Dart Manual Transmission EVO ONE No Remote Start Following Installation

2015 Dodge Dart, Manual Transmission. EVO One SN 002B04248404 with both factory key fob (tip style) and  Crimestopper Revo 4.1 Extended Range fobs. Installed using CHAR7 T harness.

Installed per guidelines. Seemed straight forward. Programmed Module using default suggestions. Decryptor appeared to work without error.

Was able to start vehicle using factory key fob. Performed manual ready procedure…. Brake pedal, E brake, removed ignition key. Vehicle continued to run. Exited the vehicle and closed the door. At this point was unable to get the vehicle to stop running. Vehicle’s dash did indicate when the door was open and subsequently closed. Confirmed all  other doors and trunk were closed throughout the installation and testing. Hood groundout was wired but the hood remained closed and we confirmed the hood pin adjustment wasn’t grounding the module out.

In one attempt, we started the vehicle, performed the manual ready mode procedure, exited the vehicle, waited 20 seconds, and then using the Revo fob lock functionality was able to shut off the vehicle but still, click 3 unlocks or the factory keyfob or “start” on the Revo fob did not result in the car starting.

(8 hours later……)

After multiple attempts and rechecking the wire harness for correctness, reviewing the question and answers info on Fortin, and praying to the “Remote Gods”, we gave up.

Any advice? Also… help me understand how many times I can reset the module and run the decryptor application. In an attempt to get this working, I think I performed the operation 4x’s.

I seem to remember you can brick the module if you run the crypto too many times. Then I read something about as much as you want within a 5 year of module manufacturing date. Please clarify this. I certainly don’t want to “brick” the module.

Regards,

Rob

update: Confirmed that the EVO One module cannot be "bricked". Worst case scenario is that it has to be reset by Fortin Support, but that it can be reprogrammed manytimes (at least for the same vehicle) manytimes without losing it's functionality.

Have been able to get the car to run after removing the key from the ignition, but have not been able to get the car to shutoff when closing drivers door as indicated as a step or procedure in the "Manual Ready Mode Manual". Was able to get the vehicle to shut off via the start option on the aftermarket Revo 4 FOB, but that seemingly put the vehicle out of "ready mode" status as it would never allow for a successful remote start.

Still scouring for answer as to why the vehicle will not shut off on its own when exiting the vehicle thus remaining in "ready mode" and allowing the remote start functionality to work properly.

Ready Mode turns off when closing the door on a manual 2013 Scion FRS Key Start

After wiring everything correctly and triple checking all the wirings I can control lock, unlock and even engine shutoff using the mobile app but for some reason after putting the car in ready mode and closing the door the engine shuts off, and when trying to start it again using the mobile app it starts for half a second then shuts off I tried resetting the module and reflashing multiple times and even went back to the frimware recommended in the guide but now it's saying that the decryptor's limit has been reached... and it's still giving me the same errors SN: 002B04 664699

Manual trans ready modes

Programming the EVO-ONE for a 2018 manual Camaro. Ready mode activation has 4 different options. Activate by RF, activate by hand & foot brake. By RF shut down on lock, active by handbrake and foot brake vehicle will shut down on lock. Can someone please break these options down for me, for example what is the first option (actives by Rf) mean?

Elantra 2009 Ready mode not engaging

Hi, 2009 elantra manual model with clutch switch bypassed. When trying to activate ready mode, the ligths flashes 3 times but upon turning the ignition off, the engine stops and when attempting to remote start it flashes 3 times indicating ready mode not set. The ignition 1 and ignition 2 wire are connected. Accessory wire is wired to accessory also. Yellow wire from evo one goes to clutch switch. Key was bypassed and door locks work. I'm thinking it doesn't engage into ready mode as the unit doesn't see engine RPM on the CAN maybe ? Because using the RF as the only setting to engage ready mode still didn't work. Thank you

2018 Civic Si No ready mode (RF 442)

Just installed an evo one and Rf-442 kit on my 2018 PTS civic. Used the Hon7 harness, so I had to do the interruption at the steering lock and tap into the clutch wire. Also ran the dcrytor process when the guide prompted. Also worth noting that the yellow light is lit when the ignition is on. Whenever I try to remote start the car with either remote, the parking lights blink 3 times indicating that the car isn't in ready mode. When I programmed the module using wizard mode, I made sure to select the middle sequence (car in neutral, foot on brake, park brake...etc), but when I leave the car, it continues running and says that the key fob is not detected on the dash. Made sure that valet mode was disabled via the rf antenna. All of the other functions of the rf remote seem functional minus the remote start. Im guessing this is a programming error, any help would be appreciated

2015 VW Golf Evo-One Manual Trans, TB-VW THAR-VW6, No Start, Ready Mode Error

I have a 2015 VW Golf. Installed and programmed Evo-One with TB-VW, and THAR-VW6. I run the car, and am able to enter ready mode by pressing brake, pulling handbrake, then releasing brake, and pressing start on the fob. The car responds, and I am able to remove they key. I get out and close the door, and the car seems to go into ready mode giving one flash of the parking lights. When I send the remote start command with the fob, the car starts the procedure and then gives me 3 flashes before even trying to crank. Is it possible there are any settings in the evo-one that may be causing the vehicle to lose ready mode before it starts. Thanks

Manual transmission remote start without using ready mode? 2018 Mazda 3

2018 Mazda 3 manual transmission. I have the evo one with the t-harness. everything works as advertised. I want to only use the oem key, which means the only way I can use remote start is enabling option 33.2. With that, I lose the following abilities: 1. use parking brake in traffic (would cause ready mode to activate) 2. walk away lock ( car does lock it self after ready mode activation, but it is based on a timer instead of proximity) 3. shutting off the car while the door is open 4. shutting off the engine before engaging the parking brake 5. stopping the car only with parking brake 6. not over working the door lock motors 7. ability to unlock the car to grab something without starting the engine (you must remote start/remote stop to keep ready mode if you want to do that) Parking the car in neutral does not concern me, but having these restrictions to enable remote start every time frustrates me. Is there a way to disable ready mode and make my installation work like an automatic transmission install? I would like to have remote start available every time. Is it possible to flash the automatic version of the settings to use on my car? Can I cut the yellow loop on the evo one? or both? I'm not sure if this will cause any electrical damage.

Civic 16' (Manual) w/FTX64 2W - Ready mode no longer saving my dashboard preferences

Hi, I Have a Honda Civic 2016 (Manual). I bought an aftermarket remote starter in 2019. The controller is an FTX64 2W. I used it without issues up until this winter. I would stop the car, leav it in neutral put the park brake on, and then press the ON button on the controller to start the Ready Mode. With the exception of the rear-window defroster which never worked, any preferences that I had on my dashboard would turn on when I activated the remote start later on (seat heaters, front window defroster, temperature, etc). This winter I noticed that when I get out of the car after activating my ready mode (after about 3-5s) the remote emits a red light and makes the descending noise (same on as if I remote stopped the car). When I then remote start the car, it will turn on, but none of the preferences on my dashboard will be on (cold seats, no defroster, no temperature, etc). The only thing that has changed is that one of the remotes (I have two) is dead. I will be replacing the batteries this week and trying that one out too. Anyone know what could be causing this? As I said, it worked well up until this winter and then stopped out of nowhere.
