2015 audi a3, setup and programming complete- no start and no lights on EVO-vwt6

After successfully programming the unit with flash updater and r-link, and a successful d-cryptor session, I reinstalled the unit, and hit the lock button 3 times, and i got nothing. I noted that there are no lights on the unit after all connections are made, with the 4 pin black connector first, and all other connections followed.

2017 S3 - First Time Installer/User want to make sure I have the correct parts!

Hey everyone! First time user/installer here and I am doing a mini project to install the remote starter on my own. I was originally quoted over $600 to do an install and after some research, I've found that it's a relatively easy DIY install. Given it's my first time, I'd like to make sure I've got all the parts needed to get it working the way I want.

My car:
2017 Audi S3 Prestige (Push to Start) - Initial Delivery date of Feb 2017 (in case manufacture date matters)

How I'd like it to work:
Simple ~50 feet (~20 meters) distance to remote start using 3 presses of the lock button with the OEM Remote.
I do not want to install a spare-key in my vehicle or sacrifice one of the key fobs
I'd like both key fobs to be able to remote-start the car
I'd like the car to run for 15-20 minutes before turning off

To do the install, I've purchased two items so far:
Fortin EVO-ONE  From Amazon [OR Fortin VW-T1 (from Walmart, sold w/ THAR)]
Fortin FLU-100.2 From Amazon (Crimestopper)
Fortin THAR-VW1

Questions:
I read in the installation instructions that the Key Bypass - TB-VW Module is not supported with the Virtual cockpit (or virtual cluster). Are there any workarounds?
Are there are special parts that I require?
Are there any concerns with respect to my battery? (I already have a dash cam & radar detector installed directly to the fuse box)
Are there different versions for American or Canadian cars?

Thanks so much!

Audi a3 2015 not programing

I installed a EVO ALL kit with the thar vw6 in my audi a3 with normal key, i used the R-link for programing but i cannot get the blue led to flash. firmware is 64.06 as recomended in the guide. In the guide it states i should use the 21 pin connector on the steering cullom but ther is no such plug only a 16 pin wich i used. I tried hard resetting it but i can still not get passed step 6. I used this guide for install: https://fortin.ca/download/91861/evo-all_ig_rts_bi_aud_a3-s3_2015_key_tb_c_91861.pdf sn:001A07 367489 Can you please reset my flash limit? Edit: I have not connect the yellow wire from the harnes as it says: IGNITION OUTPUT FOR CONVENIENT DEVICE. Is that supposed to be connected to a 12v ignition fuse on the car?

EVO-ALL won't code after cluster removed

Hello.

I have an Audi A3 2016 PTS that has an EVO-ALL V7 installed through a THAR-VW1 harness and it all woked seamless for months, with very minor glitces.

In while AC maitenance; namely the front door air actuator, I had to remove the imstruments cluster to have more room to work. It was a major pain, but I got it done.

Then I decided to check for a newer suggested firmware of my EVO-ALL and found v64.09, from v64.05 I was currently using.

The Cluster removal happened early in my project and only about 7 hours later the car was all reassembebled with some with some expected DTCs present, that were easily cleared to 0 DTC. When installed, the cluster was 100% operaciotnal, as everything else in the car - I only had to ajust it's clock .

But EVO-ALL was dead.

I came to the conclusion that the unit was not programmed any more in the car, so Idecided to try re-programming it all over again, but it keeps on failling on step 13: The LEDs keep flashing in 5x groups.

Installation manual used  with RLINK: https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/82471/evo-all_ig_reg_bi_aud-a3-s3_2015-2016_pts_tb_a_82471.pdf

And this troubleeshooting guide says this is Cluster Protection Mode.

https://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/audi/a3/2016-push-to-start/troubleshooting.html

I don't see any issues or error message in he cluster, or in the infotaiment system.

I already left the car with the battery ON for 20+ minutes, but the issue persists.

I tried flashing back the version I had before, and also a master reset, but the 5x RED is always the final result.

How can I fix this situation??

Can I get a hand please?

Audi A3 2010, EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE

Hello, For a standard-key 2010 Audi A3, what to choose between EVO-ALL and EVO-ONE? Just for remote start with the OEM key (3x lock) Is it necessary to have the TB-VW? Will an EVO-AUDT1 work?   Thank you so much :)

2016 Audi A3 PTS keyless entry not working when remote started

Hello.

I successfully installed an EVO-ALL with a THAR-VW1 and the TB-VW, it is running the firmware suggested by the FLASH LINK MANAGER for the car - which is not the latest.

I can remote start the car with 3x Lock on the OEM fob, but when I do so, the keyless entry does not work anymore, I have to press the Unlock button in the fob to open the door.

Is this by design or I need to fix something in my installation?

Thanks,

Cleber.

Audi A3 Yellow Ignition + Airbag

Hello, following the instructions through the Fortin & wire-colour sites, the yellow ignition wire connection is under the steering column. The picture on wire-colour shows the airbag controller dissasembled. The airbag module on the A3 is sealed with a caution sticker suggesting that the airbag must be disabled before disasembling - I can't find instructions on your site or wire-colour for disabling the airbag, and neither site specify that work is required around the airbag controller. I'm aware that airbag capacitors carry a charge even after the battery is disconnected, and I attempted to disconnect the ingition harnes and gain access to the yellow wire without messing with the airbag controller, but since the ignition wires pass through behind it, it seems impossible to access the wire and make that connection without dissasembling the airbag controller - I abandoned installation at this point as I could not find a safe way to proceed. Even without disassembling the airbag controller, the air bag warning is now lit in the dash and will need to be cleared - it must have sensed that I was poking around. Since airbags are both expensive and critical for safety, can you provide more detail on steps to access the yellow ignition wire, and how to disable the airbag without risking firing it, or accidentaly breaking it/permanently disabling it? Thanks, Rob

Cannot program EVO ALL - blue light goes out with ignition on

Howdy, I cannot program my EVO ALL for a 2014 Audi A3. I have used guide #3035 connection 1. I have the two CAN bus wires connected to the convenience CAN twisted pair under the steering column (both read ~2.5v with ignition on) and the yellow wire on the 20 pin connector connected to +12v ignition. I plug the unit in and enter programming mode with solid blue light, but when I turn on the ignition the light turns off. The troubleshoot guide here suggested the CAN hi/low are reversed. Despite knowing the hi/low was correct I switched them over and retested with same result. I've checked that I'm getting ~2.5v right up to the back of the 5pin connector. Anyone have any suggestions why the EVO ALL isn't detecting a CAN bus signal? Thanks, Jeremy
