EVO-ONE-942 extra beeps after querying status from remote ...

Hello, I have an EVO-ONE-942 installed in our Mazda CX5 2016, and it's been working for well over a year now.

Recently I have noticed extra beeps after querying the remote starter by double pressing the "+ " button,
I have made a recording, first you hear the button twice, then the locked beep and then 2 chirps afterwards.

Remote sound  (https://gofile.io/d/yq9seo)

If anyone has any information please let me know, thank you!

Music playback doesn’t resume when remote started ..

This is a weird one, and not really a big deal but I figured I would mention it ... When I remote start my CX5 it won't resume mp3 playback from a USB flash drive, in fact the flash drive won't even be detected as being inserted, but when started with the push start it works ... Also I believe before upgrading my CX5 with Carplay/Android Auto using the official USB hub, I'm pretty sure it actaully worked just fine ... I'm not sure why it would be behaving this way, but that's what it does :)

Is there an up to date firmware log ?

I'm using an Evo One and I was just wondering if there's a section that lists newest firmwares for it ? I see that the newest Evo One rev7 is 7.1.25, and Evo All rev7 is 7.91.01 ... Mine is on Bypass 85.10, and Starter 1.25. Am I assuming correctly that my starter is on the newest (7.)1.25 but bypass could be updated from 85.10 to (7.)91.01 ...

Still getting DTC U0338:00 after installing Evo One.

I don't like seeing DTC codes as you can tell, and I don't think it's normal to see them ...

This is the description of the fault:

CAN communication line malfunction between start stop unit and PCM

    Start stop unit internal malfunction

I'm getting my PCM updated in a couple of days at a Mazda dealer,
can a Fortin enginner verify that this is normal and won't affect the procedure?

Will this issue be corrected with an Evo One firmware update, or
is there some technical issue making this not possible to fix?

EVO One & RF Kit Update

As far as I understand while programming with Flashlink the newest firmware will be automatically loaded ? Does that include both the bypass and starter firmwares, or is there a combined one ? I am also assuming the RF Kit antenna firmware has to be done manually ?

Software Incompatibility with Remote Function Actuation

I have installed the EVO-ONE-942 with THAR-ONE-MAZ3 on my 2016 Mazda CX5 Automatic Push Start, and when scanning the vehicle with Thinkcar I get a DTC in EPS module, code U0338:00-08 (Software incompatibility with remote function actuation).

After clearing all code, it comes back again ...

Also, I've noticed the trunk open on the remote opens it half way, meaning it still cannot be actually opened until you unlock the car. Is there a way to disable trunk open as it doesn't work right?

Another weirs "issue" I found, when the car is unlocked with Fortin remote, then locked with "OEM" remote, when you check status with Fortin remote, it will say unlocked even though it's locked. Then when you lock with Fortin remote, it will report the status correctly.

Some quick post-install questions ...

I have just installed the EVO-ONE-942 with THAR-ONE-MAZ3 on my 2016 Mazda CX5 Automatic Push Start. Everything seems to work just fine, but I had a couple of questions ... When I did the programming with Flashlink manger I went throigh the "wizard" step by step, and picked that my car already has an OEM Alarm system (I verified by rolling window down, locking, then unlocking, and it sounded the alarm). I chose not to use the OEM remote for starting, just the Fortin RF one ... I also did not install the Valet switch, or the Hood pin. Question, since it seems to work I am assuming that I didn't need to enter manual options to fine tune anything? Also, when I went through the programming, would I automatically get a firmware update or did I have to do that step manually and I missed it? My unit was made at the end of 2020 so I assume it's fairly up to date? Thanks in advance!
