EVO-ONE - failed MA inspection after install 19 Mazda cx-5

Went for a state inspection a few days after install failed because weak battery that was my fault a light was left on in the cabin, went back a couple hundred miles later and massachusetts state inspection lists certain systems as not ready. Anyone else seen this caused by the evo install? Could I temporarily remove the evo and the harness for the purpose of the inspection and put it back without damage?

2014 Mazda 3 - How to take over

Hello, I recently bought a 2014 Mazda 3 GT auto with this remote start module preinstalled. To start the car, simple, lock-unlock-lock sequence. Now when I hop in the car, I was told that without pushing the brake, I am supposed to double press the start/stop button and then I can press the brake and continue to shift into gear and go. However, after I double press the start/stop button, I press the brake and the car shuts off. Is there something I am doing incorrectly here? Thanks,

Programming Evo All stuck at step 5

Programming an Evo All for 2016 Mazda 6 push to start automatic. Using guide #62791 ive installed everything and am programming my Evo All, and I'm stalled at step 5/6. Light is blue solid, but when I hit the start button twice the ignition clicks but won't turn over. The light never turns yellow, I've started over dozens of times.

Evo-all is wired and programmed seemingly correct, but not starting

I have a 2016 Mazda 3 Automatic that I've wired with the EVO-ALL module and MAZT1 T-harness. It is wired and programmed but it doesn't start. Wiring: Using the diagram #62681, I spliced the 20 pin harness light blue wire A20 into the 32pin #9 for door lock data and the light blue/black wire into the 32pin #8 for the data key. The rest is connected with plug n play t-harness and I wired the parking lights as described as well. Also, I made sure the dark blue wire A8 for the hood pin is grounded properly. Programming the module: I went through steps 1-12, received feedback appropriately and used the dcryptor. Then repeated those steps, got the flashing blue and red feedback, proceeded with the final steps of can-bus programming and again received the correct feedback with the blinking blue lights. When I leave the car, I use the lock-unlock-lock (this is how I chose to program the settings) on my oem remote. I can visually see the module flash blue with each input of the remote through my car window, but then nothing happens. My only concern is that I tried to program it too many times as I initially thought I could use the single key install guide, then had difficulty with my second key with switching the programming method and thus had to have Fortin reset my module since the dcryptor had been used 3 times. Is there something else I can do to get this working such as a simple setting change? I truly think all the wires are in the right place and since I got the light feedback from the device while programming the keys, it seems like it should work.

Key Fob for Evo ONE

I have purchased the EVO One for my 2019 Mazda CX5. I am planning to use the OEM key fob to turn it on and off. But I was wondering if there's an additional FOB I can purchase to get a longer range. Or if there is any way to get a better range than what I get with the OEM FOB. Thanks!

2015 Mazda 6 EVO ONE/ RF642W QUESTION

Will the RF kit RF642W work as standalone Key FOB if i install it on my 2015 Mazda 6? I have the EVO One (not installed yet) with T- Harness. I wanted the extended range of the RF kit but i's rather not have to carry the OEM key FOB as well as the RF key FOB. Thanks

Evo-one plus DroneMobile, OEM Fob, and Remote Start Options

Evo-One is working as intended with the OEM fob and the latest firmware. To use the Drone module, I understand the firmware needs to be rolled-back to 0.50. Doing so removes all of the options I had with the latest firmware (eg using lock, unlock, lock instead of 3x lock). By rolling-back to 0.50, do you lose the ability to customize these options and will the OEM fob continue to work as it used to?

CX9 Starts when doors are open

I have a 2018 Mazda CX9 with the EVO ONE installed using the T harness. The vehicle starts without any issue using the OEM remote. The only concern I have is that it also starts while the doors are open and im putting my child in his car seat and I accidentally tapped lock button on the remote three times. Doesn’t the EVO ONE sense that the vehicle is disarmed and the doors are open and it should not start the vehicle?

2015 Mazda CX-5 EVO-MATZ1 red LED after 3x lock press

Hello, I am installing EVO-MATZ1 on a 2015 CX-5 Touring. I have properly followed guide #62951. I do not have the parking lights hooked up, nor the hood switch via the dark blue wire from the EVO-ALL unit at this time. The CX-5 does not have a hood switch. Once I get the remote start working, I will install the included hood switch. The unit is programmed properly by following the instructions and getting the proper LEDs. When I hit the lock button 3x, the redlight automatically comes on. Then the yellow light, then they both turn off. It does this again, then the lights stay off. Thats the first problem I have encountered. The second issue I have is I did a reset by holding the programming button and programming the unit. Now whenI plug in the 4 wire power harness, all 3 LEDs blink. I tried to reprogramit but I am having problems. When I turn on the ignition, I do not get a yellow light on the first key.

How to reconnect programmed evo-all/I think I may have made it faulty?

So I have evo-all with the t-harness for my 2014 mazda 3 push to start auto, and I updated the firmware and then went through the programming procedure and successfully completed it, but my car did not start with the 3x lock. I then realized my safety switch was in the wrong position (shorted to ground) so I switched it back and tried and still nothing. I then thought maybe this made the whole procedure invalid since that switch was in the wrong position, so I attempted to reprogram from the start. I basically got a bunch of leds on/flashing that aren't even mentioned so I figured this wasn't going to work and then I eventually found out that I had C1 and D1 disabled in the evo-all options. I enabled them and the flash link software says its still ready to use. I'm wondering how to reconnect it, as in what led to wait for when holding the programming button, or have I messed up my evo-all by trying to reprogram and what should I do now? Thanks, Trevor

Preferred setup for 2016 Mazda CX-5

Hi, Sorry if this question was answered previously but I'm not seeing my answer. I have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 (push-to-start automatic) and would prefer not to use a seperate fob. • Will any of the options allow for takeover so the car doesn't stop when the door opens? • Which option would allow me to add a mobile (smartphone) solution down the road? • Do any of the options require no cutting of cables in the vehicle (true plug and go)? • Are any functions not available by my using the factory fob alone? • Is there a different start sequence that doesn't sound the horn? My days start early and I don't want my neighbours to hate me. thanks!

Which remote start is good for me?

Hi, I am a newbie in the remote start area, I do not understand a lot of things. I am looking for a simple remote start solution using my original for my 2014 Mazda CX-5 automatic. The site gives me 2 answers, EVO-ONE and EVO- ALL for double price. I do not understand what are the differences - What does mean T-Harness available? Is it necessary or optional? For what? - Flash Link updater? What is? Ok, I know what is firmware updater, but is this required or optional? - What is Regular installation and Standalone installation? - What is Take over? Is it something hardware or just a settings?

2016 CX-9 security light doesn't stop blinking

I have a 2016 CX-9 and choose the EVO-ALL along with a 1-way RF kit from cimestopper. I worked through step 7 with the first OEM key and the security indicator did not stop blinking for more than 5-6 seconds. In a bit of a panic, I turned the ignition off and tried again with a second OEM key. The security inidicator took a long time before turning off, but the EVO-ALL only shows the yellow light. When I restart the programming from step 1, I can no longer get the unit to turn yellow in step 6 where I press the PTS twice. Is it safe to master reset the unit and try again? Following the reset instructions here: https://fortin.ca/en/qa/403/programming-evo-all Also, any known issues when the security indicator takes too long to turn off?

2016 Mazda CX-5 when I get to step 13 and ignition comes back on and off I only get a yellow light, not red/yellow flash

I tried to go through the dcrypt step and on to through step 18 but at that point I got the red/yellow flash not red and blue. I have not been able to start with 3x lock press.

Any updates to 2009 Mazda 5 install?

I have a 2009 Mazda 5 Sport.  As far as I can tell there is not a 3x Lock option if I want to use my OEM remote.  According to this it appears the EVO-ONE has remote start functionality for my car but the EVO-ALL doesn't?

What would I need to start the car with the EVO-ONE?

And the EVO-ALL could only act as a bypass, correct?

2016 Mazda CX-5 EVO-MAZT1 Programmed but does not start

We have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 GT w/Tech. I've programmed, reset, and re-programmed the module 3 times now. Hardware v6; the firmware has been updated to the latest as of today (71.34 I believe). The device is set to OEM remote standalone remote starter, 3x lock remote start, 15 minute run. It's installed and has been programmed following the instructions, #35221 Connection 1 (REMOTE CAR STARTER ONLY - DOORLOCK BY OEM REMOTE). All of the LEDs on the device match the output described in the instructions after every step except for the very end of the instructions where the red/yellow LEDs alternately blink. I pull the power on the EVO-ALL and then re-plug and all LEDs are dark until remote input. When I step away from the car (doors shut and locked) the blue LED does light up on each lock press. After three I see the EVO-ALL execute the following LED pattern: Red, long Yellow, Red, long Yellow, then three quick Red blinks. The car does not atempt to start and nothing lights up. The security indicator in the instrument cluster continues to blink. It will continue this pattern every time it sees three lock signals. When starting the car traditionally, the Yellow LED stays lit. I've read all of the posts here and elsewhere that I can find and I'm not sure what I've missed.

Why not make it clear which vehicles 3x to start is supported?

I found your products after searching the web on how to use OEM key to remote start a car.  So I decided to install one on 2010 mazda3 (non push button start).   I bought the FLASH-LINK and EVO-ALL by mistake instead of EVO-ONE, and when I realized it requires another remote start module, I called your support and was advised to buy EVO-ONE.   I asked if I can use my OEM remote to start the car with it and was told yes.   So I returned EVO-ALL and bought EVO-ONE.  And now in the middle of installation (after 4 hours), and I can not get the module to recognize my OEM fob.   SO I searched all over the web and your Q&A trying to figure out why the blue LED is not flashing when I press buttons on the fob.   NOW after spending a few hours on this issue, I came to the conclusion that this module does NOT work with the OEM key fob!   Why doesn't your web site make this clear?!   Here:  http://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/mazda/3/2010/    it should state that the OEM fob is not supported for this vehicle.  WHY DOES IT NOT SAY THAT?   After some time searching, I tried selecting another car that I knew supported 3x to start (2014 Tundra) and looked at the page for it: http://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/toyota/tundra/2014/    And what do you know!  Turns out there is a new feature listed there for 3x to start.  Wish I knew earlier that this feature was not supported for my car.   Now I can't return the EVO-ONE that I have because it has the automatic transmission loop cut now, and a few wires trimmed.  :(   Is there any chance a firmware upgrade is coming up which will let me use the OEM fob?   Thank you
