EVO-ALL solid blue and red lights - will not program 2011 F-150 OEM keys

UPDATE: Added step-by-step procedures.

Issue: The blue and red lights on EVO-ALL remain solid during and after attempting programming with 2 keys.

System: EVO-FORT4; Firmware: 71.52; EVO-ALL S/N: 001A07355490; Vehicle: 2011 F-150 3.5L; Remote: Two standard OEM keys; Guide #: 94891.

Troubleshooting: Double-checked all connections. Double-checked settings. Re-flashed EVO-ALL.

Followed procedure:

Program EVO-ALL and flash settings (firmware 71.52) Plug in all connections (ignition, immobilized, OBD) Manually connect "Key Sense" wire (A1, yellow, 20-pin connector) to the "Key Sense" wire (purple/yellow, either the 5-pin or 6-pin connector) Page 7; Step 1: Hold button down on EVO-ALL; connect black 4-pin data-link harness Page 7; Step 2: Release button when blue & red lights illuminate solid Page 7; Step 3: Connect other harnesses (white 20-pin, red 6-pin, white 5-pin) Page 7; Step 4: Insert key #1 to ON/RUN position Page 7; Step 5: Wait 3 seconds: remove key #1 Page 7; Step 6: Quickly insert key #2 to ON/RUN position Page 7; Step 7: Wait 3 seconds: remove key #2 Page 8; Step 8: Quickly insert key #1 to ON/RUN position; wait (blue light does not rapidly flash) Page 8; Step 9: Remove key #1
Result: Vehicle locks cycle on and off (indicating key programming); however, EVO-ALL blue & red lights remain illuminated solid (no blinking). The truck responds correctly, but the EVO-ALL does not.

Note: There's a YouTube video showing that an initial data transfer programming step is needed prior to the step 1 in the guide (shown above): hold down the button on the EVO-ALL; release on blue; insert key #1; wait until EVO-ALL blue light rapidly flashes; remove key #1 to complete. This step is not in the provided guide. I attempted including this step after the 1st failed attempt, but the blue light never flashed rapidly. I received the same result below with and without this step.

The only manual connection I made is wiring the "Key Sense" wire (A1, yellow) on the 20-pin connector to the "Key Sense" wire (purple/yellow) on the other side of the EVO-ALL (either the 5-pin or 6-pin connector; can't tell with the harness).

Questions:

Is there another connection I missed? Should the A1 yellow wire be connected to the other yellow wire (instead of the purple/yellow Key Sense wire)? Other than connecting the 4-pin harness first, do I need to connect the other harnesses in a different sequence?

Any help would be appreciated!

Flash Link v4 Manager Issues - freezing & no longer updating firmware on Evo-ALL

Hi, I import modules for Australian vehicles and a regular programmer of the Evo-ALL modules via Flash Link v4, with our usual preferred programming via FORTIN Pro Mode. When selecting the same "Update to 4.[01]" of firmware we always select, the program keeps freezing during update and we receive a notification on pc screen (in a black box) stating "Please select firmware version". Not sure what has changed or been updated by FORTIN since we last programmed modules approx 4 weeks back? Have uninstalled/reinstalled Flash Link v4 - same issue; attempted programming for a different vehicle, still freezing during firmware update. Regards, Kyran

2011 Ford Escape red light stays on during programming - SOLVED

Vehicle: 2011 Ford Escape

Evo All #001A07260304 installed with T-harness THAR-FORD4; plug-n-play install, teed connections to ignition switch, immobilizer antenna and OBDII connector; no wires spliced

Can't get the unit to program.  Process: Hold program button, plug in data cable and release on red light.  Insert key and turn on until theft light turns out.  Remove first key and insert second.  Turn on for 3 seconds, theft light goes out, turn off and remove.  Last step says to press and release programming button within 5 seconds (this is where it gets stuck).  Red light should flash 10 times and blue light should flash 10 times and ignition comes on and turns off again.  When I press the button the last time, the red light blinks and just stays on.

I've tried the firmware downgrade listed in https://fortin.ca/en/qa/92073/faq-red-led-stuck-on .  That link says to downgrade to v 0.99 but the lowest version for Ford appears to be 4.01.  I flashed 4.01, power cycled in vehicle, reflashed v 71.52, unlocked settings and reset the unit.  Still same results.

I've also tried testing the data bus.  Hold button, insert data link connector, release button on blue light.  Connected all other connections and turned key on.  Blue light stays solid.  Shouldn't it flash on data?

The yellow wire is not connected as it seems to be part of the T harness, but I've tested it for 12v on ignition and it is getting it.  I don't have the valet switch or hood pin switch connected.  What am I missing?  I'm wearing out the plugs with all these connections/disconnections.

EVO ALL won't recognize keys on 2019 Ford Explorer during programming

Evo all standalone wire to wire with t-harness firmware 71.52(i have also tried 71.49, 4.01, 7.47, and programming related to listed firmwares) I am trying to do 2 key programming. When I get to the step of holding(the folded key) to the ignition, press the button on EVO, nothing happens. Nothing progresses. Any ideas for where I need to look? CAN bus is wired and voltage tested good. Wires were stripped, wrapped, and taped. Module does seem to communicate with vehicle with key fob sending lock/unlock(blue LED lights up) functions, then doing the lock/unlock/lock, it flashes 5 times RED which i know means hood open. Not sure why as the toggle switch has a good ground and is turned off. The toggle is wired into the dark blue A8 wire on the 20 pin connector. Please advise

2008 Ford Escape start when red 6 pin connect is plugged in.

I have a 2008 Ford Escape automatic with standard key with the thar-for4 t harness and the evo all and I only have one key so I'm using the dcryptor and I programmed the module for standalone remote start and when I try to program the key to the module after I plug in the 4 pin black connector while the led is red I let go then plug in all remaining connectors, but when I plug in the red 6 pin connector the car starts and won't shut off until I unplug everything out of the evo-all, when I unplug just the 6 pin the car is sent into anti theft mode. Tried starting over and restarted the module and reprogrammed a few times and same result. What could be the issue? The first time I went through all the steps it was successful and the car would start and stop with the oem keyfob. Then I think I programmed something wrong and I can't get it back. The only was that I have hardwired is the yellow ignition wire and the dark blue hood pin wire.

Cannot get Linkr LT1 and EVO ALL to link together

Hi,

I have a 2019 F150 and trying to install a Linkr LT1 and an EVO ALL module. I can get the EVO ALL to work, but cannot get the Linkr LT1 to work with it. Fortin 2 is enabled through settings. Firmware 4.01 installed. Here is what has happened so far:

If I program the Fortin module first with the key fob (blue light method), I then have to unplug the module and replug it in to pair with the app (red and blue light method). This should reset the key fob programming, correct? When I do this, I try to start from the app and I hear the app chirp, then a longer chirp (assuming that's the confirmation command that it started) but being as the module has not been programmed to start, it doesn't do as such.

So I programmed the linkr module first (since it has constant power through this process, hoping it would remember the programming), then I programmed the Fortin module, but now I don't get that confirmation chirp, although it works through my key fob.

Any settings I am missing? I cannot get the app to work for the life of me.
