IS hood pin necessary for the stand alone remote start?

Hi, after ordering the EVO-all with THAR-CHR4 for dodge charger 2009 V6, the seller confirmed that module has the latest Firmware and has option 15 enabled for remote start. I have installed the device, which was the easiest task ever. as per the manual, yello wire from T harness goes to the pin 1 on 20 pin connector and Dk blue wire to the hood pin, dont have doot pin in my car??? completed the installation and was able to program the module successfuly as explained, however no remote start after 3x lock??? what could be the reason and how do i fix this? thanks

seems to have programmed, won't remote start

Hi, I was installing my CHRT-4 today and followed the instructions to the letter as well as a video on youtube (which matched the directions) once installed and programming, I got the rapid flashing blue LEDs as if all was programmed. I then tried to remote start the van but it doesn't do anything. I tried repeating the process with the same result... suggestions?

Not connect yet A15 Pink/Black . . Not connect yet. Too hard to reach ( Is this caused Problem ? )  Connector C: C4 Gray/Black to CAN LOW C5 Gray to CAN HIGHT   Follow Programming on page 5/9 of the installation guide . . On step 6 with the key fob without battery placed close to start/Stop button. Press start/Stop button twice as required but the button light Not change to ACC or ON the Ignition at all. Also the yellow light on the remote Starter not change at all. I tried to reprogramming from step 1 down again and sitll got the same issue on step 6   Repeat again with key fob battery placed on at step 6, the light Start/Stop button changed from OFF to ON ignition, But the yellow light from remote starter not change . . .   Would you please look thru and Help me to solve this programming issue.   Thank you, Minh Le

Here is all info on what products I have, with links to the pdf's of the manuals showing what I have wired up.. All with a full explanation of what is not working, and what it does while trying to start.... Vehicle: 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4 Fortin Evo-all with the T-harness ( just purchased the flash link updater ) Crime Stopper SP-502 with the data ports ( Evo is default ). I updated the evo-all via the flash link device to the newest firmware, and the newest update for my evo-all. I did not change any options on the evo-all except for the priority driver door unlock, and then I made sure that the evo-all knew to use the data port for evo series.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I followed the instructions that came with the fortin evo-all first... using install directions "A" see here: ( http://fortin.ca/download/28831/evo-all_evochrt5_p20160902.pdf ) I then went to the crimestopper book and followed the install diagram in their book see here : ( http://www.crimestopper.com/cstech/library/security/security_systems/security_keyless_entry/sp-402_sp-502_ins_rev_09-28-2012_green%20kill.pdf ) its near the end shows the module and all the wiring. All options work as expected, except for the siren ( crime stopper side ) and the remote start, which I am not sure is the crime stopper or the fortin.... ( this is from the flashes I get from my crime stopper ) I notice when I am in the car, the yellow light on the fortin is on and I believe the red light. ( I can take a video if need be ). Lock x3 will not start my truck, why?

I wired the correct wires for the Stand Alone Installation "F". I decided not to use the optional hood pin or the optional parking light wires, and i'm unsure about where to put the "external input" wire. Also, I was unsure about using the valet switch and was wondering if that was optional as well, as I don't have that wired in right now. When programming, The blue LED flashes when I start my truck with the key, but I can't get my lock x3 to start the truck. It starts fine with the key, both lock and unlock on my remote work, however I can't get it to start with hitting lock 3 times. Any suggestions? My firmware is 74-17 and hardware is 6. My vehicle is a 2007 dodge ram 1500. Please help! Just noticed that the yellow LED comes on when I start my truck with the key. what does that mean?

What is External Input?

Evo all, installation guide for standalone remote start shows, Yellow/Black wire as external input. what does that mean? and do we need to connect 1k ohm resistor for parking light? which wire i can tap for parking (-), any place under the dash? I also need to know if there is a +12V switched ignition supply, i need this to power up my rear view auto dimming mirror? Thanks.

My grand caravan 2015 sensor Gate on and all the lights on after the installation of evo-all

After the installation of the Evo-All CHRT4, my Dodge Caravan 2015 have the GATE indicator on on the dashboard and all the internal lights on too. What can I do?

2007 Ram Cummins starter runs for 1-2 seconds after engine starts

I have tried everything I can think of but can't solve this issue. Using chrt5 and install diagram c (I have no +starter wire) all updates are current. The starter stays engaged for too long. I don't want to break my starter or my flex plate. Please help.

2006 Dodge Ram red security light flashes on remote start

Hello there, I have an EVO-ALL (service # 001A06416265) with a Crimestopper LCPro-4. It has been working just fine on my 2006 Ram 1500 up until recently. I recently bought two Sentry Keys for my truck, which I programmed myself using the customer key programming described in the Dodge owner's manual. I have a total of 5 keys for the truck now, all of them work properly. The problem I am experiencing - whenever I remote start the truck, the red security light in the instrument cluster blinks. It continues to blink even after I insert a key and take over from remote start. The only way to get the light to shut off is to shut off the truck and restart with the key. The odd thing is the truck starts and runs just fine when remote started...everything works the same as it did before, but now that security light blinks. I plugged my OTC Genisys scan tool into the truck and get a code: P0513 "invalid SKIM key". I cleared the codes. The same code comes back if I remote start the truck. I did a Master Reset on my EVO-ALL module, and went through the programming procedure on it again. It completed programming successfully. No change. All functions still work, but the red light is still blinking when the truck is remote started. Thanks in advance for all your help! -Darren Asuncion

Programming EVO-ALL

I'm trying to program my EVO-ALL for my 2013 Dodge Ram with the tip start key. After pressing the programming 4x and the light turns to solid yellow it says "insert key" and the light should turn to red. I insert the key and nothing happens. I've flashed the module to 74.09 and still nothing. Any ideas?

compustar drone datalink to evo all 2007 dodge ram diesel

Can I hook the compustar drone directly to the evo all without having the full remote start system? Ex. Using the drone to control the evo all stand alone starting feature, as well as lock/unlock. I have the evo-all, chr5, and data link updater 2.

Key fob doesn't work after remote start. Key takeover doesn't work

I installed the evo all on a 2013 ram 1500 tip key I followed all instructions. For some reason after remote starting the factory key fob will not unlock or lock the truck. The key take over dose not work I put the key in the turn it to on/run depress the brake and the truck dies. There are lights that come on the evo when starting and when lock and unlock. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? How can I fix this?

Not working confused! Please help!!!!

Will not start The red light on the remote mod is not on and the wires for the data link are different color please help!!!!!!!!!!! Also when I got the box it I red the the remote was already flashed. Monday I wired it up as stand alone and nothing. 2007 dodge Dakota SLT 3.7 liter. Should I wire the door locks up to?

2014 Dodge Durango Wont Start

I got through programming and everything for my CHRT6 on my 2014 Dodge Durango with Push Start. When I hit the lock button 3 times the blue light blinks 3 times, I think the red and yellow lights came on afterwards but I don't remember. I can hear the fuel pump turn on but the truck doesn't attempt to start. My settings on Flash Link are A1-A11 On C1 On D1 On D1.6 On D1.10 On D6 On

EVO and Fortin RF

I did the DYI Splice for the RF ant, I just spliced into the hot and ground wire of the WHITE pin connected to the other black 4 pin connector. The Blue light on the antennae comes on for a milli sec then goes out. I am unable to program the remote. I saw other post mentioning Turn on the RF from the REMOTE start side, but when I switch over I get a looking for device connection. what am I doing wrong?

 

Instead of going through the entire Q&A...please read this . Here's what I had to do.

1. To get the RF ANT and the EVO to communicate, i had to do more than splice a power and ground into the antenna....I had to splice the Red and Blue wire into the antenna too. That way it will communicate. as soon as I did this I was able to get confirmation that the RF Remote was getting pprogrammed. BUT it still didnt work.

2. I decided to look into resetting the EVO to default and reprogram ands in less than 15 min I was up and running. All remotes work and I'm loving it.

I have an EvoAll with harness, will this work with Viper 5704v d2d?

I purchased the Fortin EVOALL CHR6 for my 2014 dodge dart. I also bought a5704v Viper alarm. Are these compatible via the D2D protocol? I flashed my Fortin with the right firmware and chose D2D as the protocol. Just double checking.
