evo start 2

I bought an EVO-START2 to add to my EVONE + THAR-ONE-MAZ3 installation. After re-flashing do I need to do the whole decrypt process again? Also do I connect the yellow wire to A1 or E5 onto the harness? Thanks.

Evo Start 2 says running for a few seconds then says off but car is running

Installed Evo all with twvw1 harness and Evo start 2 yellow wire from Evo start 2 connected to purple/yelllow wire from Evo All (ign + out) Evo start will say "Engine On" but the tach needle doesn't change, and then it says that the engine is off the next status request I send. But the car is running. It will show that the voltage is 14+ and the temp rising in the car. But shows the engine off.

What is the solid yellow (Ignition Output For Convenience Device) wire connected to?

I have a 2012 Camry push-to-start automatic transmission using an EVO All with the THAR-TOY6 THarness. On the user guide #70451, off the THarness, it show a solid Yellow wire as the (+) Ignition for an Ignitiion Output For Convenience Device.

What is this Yellow wire for and do I need to connect it to the A1 Yellow wire of the EVO All device?

If I need to make any wire-to-wire connections, what wire connectors your recommend when soldering is not an option?

I see no other wire-to-wire connections expect for the White/Black wire connection to the Purple wire for the (-) Start/Stop optional option.  Is this correct?

Comments: On one hand, the installation of the Fortin components seems straightforward (almost to easy to believe) but on the other hand, I just want to be sure I'm not missing anything.  Any additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Your Q&A session has been very helpful.

Thank you for your assistance.

Audi A3 Yellow Ignition + Airbag

Hello, following the instructions through the Fortin & wire-colour sites, the yellow ignition wire connection is under the steering column. The picture on wire-colour shows the airbag controller dissasembled. The airbag module on the A3 is sealed with a caution sticker suggesting that the airbag must be disabled before disasembling - I can't find instructions on your site or wire-colour for disabling the airbag, and neither site specify that work is required around the airbag controller. I'm aware that airbag capacitors carry a charge even after the battery is disconnected, and I attempted to disconnect the ingition harnes and gain access to the yellow wire without messing with the airbag controller, but since the ignition wires pass through behind it, it seems impossible to access the wire and make that connection without dissasembling the airbag controller - I abandoned installation at this point as I could not find a safe way to proceed. Even without disassembling the airbag controller, the air bag warning is now lit in the dash and will need to be cleared - it must have sensed that I was poking around. Since airbags are both expensive and critical for safety, can you provide more detail on steps to access the yellow ignition wire, and how to disable the airbag without risking firing it, or accidentaly breaking it/permanently disabling it? Thanks, Rob
