EVO-KEY 2011 Kia SOUL Remote Start Data-Link

I've recently purchased the OEM starter kit for a 2011 kia soul. However, this is a Canadian model and has a transponder key, so it will only crank and wont start unless a key is held near the ignition. Will the EVO-KEY work as a bypass in conjunction with the OEM remote start kit? Is there a requirement for any sort of data link between the start module and the the EVO-KEY? Thank you

2009 Kia Borrego With Immobilizer DeActivated

Hello, I'm installing an EVO-One with THAR-ONE-KHY1 Harness on 2009 Kia Borrego. The vehicle is equipped with immobilizer and immobilizer RFID metal ignition key but the immobilizer function has been stripped from the ECU/ECM software so the vehicle starts with any metal (properly cut) key. When I install the EVO One can I ignore the PATS Data connection and use the "Program 2: Vehicle Without PATS Data Wire" programming instructions? Thanks

Tach sensor 2009 Kia Spectra

2009 Kia Spectra. THAR-ONE-KHY1. I need to know which wire to connect the tach signal to. Yes, in the Wire Colour diagram it does tell me which wire on the ECM, but no-where can I find which wire on the EVO-one it must be connected to. I have by-passed it currently using programmable option 20.2, but the start quality is pathetic; in cold temperatures it requires more crank time, causing excessive starter drag in warmer conditions. Adjust for warm temperatures and the crank is in-sufficient for the cold mornings. Advice for me?

Does EVO-ONE Support Kia's New Anti-Theft Update

Hey guys,

So Kia has released a new firmware update for their cars in order to deal with the rise in car thefts. The update is applied at the dealership. I've been thinking about getting the update, but I need to make sure my Evo-One will still remote start the engine after the changes are made.

I have a 2020 Kia Forte with a push-button fob. From what I've gathered, after the update, the BMS must receive the unlock command from the KeyFob in order for the engine to start. If the car isn't unlocked and I were to try to start it, it would end up panicing for 60 seconds.

I know the EVO-One already unlocks the doors over CanBus, but does it support the update Kia is applying to our cars? Will it still remote start the car after changes are made?

2020 Kia Sportage DRL, fog lights, high beams, front and rear wipers not working.

Hi, I have a 2020 Kia Sportage - Regular key THAR-ONE-KHY2 that I installed. DRL, fog lights, high beams, front and rear wipers do not work. I checked all the wires and they are all good. I proceeded to remove the fortin remote starter and go OEM. all the issues were fixed (DRL, fog lights, high beams, front and rear wipers). I suspected a bad module so I re-instaleld the fortin remote starter with another module. the issues were still there. I double checked the wiring again and they are all good. Can anyone check into this? maybe there is something in the wiring or module in the wiring diagram???. I had someone install on a 2021 Kia Seltos also and the same issues are on it too. Thank you.

2020 Telluride- Remote start not working and horn honks 3 times after locking

I installed an EVO-One in my 2020 Telluride. I am using the RM912 and ANT900 kit. I updated firmware on the antenna and the EVO module. All wires seem to be correct per drawing. I was able to program the bypass when you first hook up all connectors, and I got the two remotes programmed to the antenna, however the manual says to hold the single button for 12 seconds or until the blue LED turns off and then comes on SOLID. The Blue LED comes back on RED for me. The manual does not specify what color it should be when it comes back on solid, but maybe red is a bad sign? I try to use to 912 fobs and nothing happens. No lights on the EVO or antenna. The fobs blink blue and then turn red and chime a few times. I can use the factory Kia fob to lock/unlock and the blue LED on the EVO blinks when doing this. The yellow light on the EVO is constantly on when the car is running or ignition on. I never see any other lights blinking on the EVO though. The Antenna LED will blink very fast right after locking the door with the factory fob. In about 10 seconds or so, the horn and park lights flash 3 times and the blue LED on the antenna then blinks slower. It is programmed as a push to start automatic car, so I am not sure what 3 honks really means. The car still stays locked. No matter what I try with the two RM912 remotes, they never get a green light, the antenna or EVO mdule never blinks blue when the 912 fob is used, and nothing ever happens with door locks or starter. Almost seems liek the fobs do not work at all, but to try and test that theory, I set the ability to remote start the car using the factory fob with 3x lock button, but that does not work either. I have the yellow loop cut, the hood is closed (grounded) and doors are all closed. I am wondering what to do?

2007 Kia Sedona EX

I am trying to install a EVO-One with THAR-ONE-KHY1 T-Harness & 641W Remotes. In the installation guide it states to connect C1 (CAN2HIGH) and C2 (CAN2LOW) to pins 6 and 14 of the OBD-II connector. My vehicle only has pins at 3,4,5,8,12, & 16. I know generally if you dont have 6 & 14 you can opt for 3 & 11, but I dont have 11. What do I need to do? Likeswise none of the wiring appears to match my vehicle. C3 & C4 (CAN1HIGH/LOW) is supposed to be located in the drivers side kick panel. I have no such plug. Lastly the PATS DATA A20 clearly shows what it connects to, but A10 is above it with a dotted line that states cut. Cut what? From my perspective it looks like A10 and D4 are merely connected together unless Im reading it wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

EVO-START2 - is the ignition wire not needed in some cases?

I setup an EVO-START2 with an iDataStart HCX in a 2016 Kia Sorento (push-start) but since there's a T-harness the only manual connection required for the entire install is from the EVO-START2 (yellow igition wire). The T-Harness doesn't connect to an igition wire in the vehicle, so I can't just run the EVO-START2 yellow ignition wire to the HCX or T-harness. Instead I have to connect the yellow ignition wire to a longer wire that can reach the driver kick panel, and tap a connector there. I tried setting up the EVO-START2 without the yellow ignition wire and could not get validation (purple LED flashing) to happen, which didn't surprise me too much. I temporarily connected the yellow igition wire by pushing it into the back of the relevant pin/connector in the driver kick panel. This got me past validation and everything worked. To finish the install I needed a longer wire, so I left the vehicle to find a wire and to show my wife the app. We started and stopped the vehicle, locked/unlocked doors, etc. It all worked (we could hear the vehicle from within the house and the app confirmed every command). To my surprise, when I got back to the vehicle, the yellow wire had fallen out of the connector it was temporarily pushed into. This caused me to wonder if it was disconnected the whole time I was away, and so I tested functionality without it. Everything seems to work without that wire (except for the one-time validation step). As a secondary test I tried starting the vehicle using OEM fob and watching to see if the app reported that the vehicle was on. It did and showed the countdown timer and temperature etc. I can't find anything not working. So this leads me to the question in the title - do I actually need this wire? Everything presumably is working through data without it. If I don't connect it then I have a 100% plug-and-play installation, which is ideal.
