RF642W remote batteries dead within a week

I am having an issue with my RF642W remote. The batteries in the remote are dying within a week of being installed, even though I have tried using new batteries and changing them multiple times. The remote functions normally when the batteries have a charge, all buttons work and nothing is stuck down. The LED and chime on the remote also operate normally. Can anyone suggest any further steps I can take to investigate this issue or is this a symptom of failing hardware?

Disarming Fortin alarm function with OEM remote on 2011 Camry

Fortin EVO-ONE installed into a 2011 Toyota Camry. Firmware 1.[25] loaded. Fortin alarm function has been enabled. Alarm works as expected when using the Fortin RF remote. However, if the OEM remote is used to unlock the vehicle, the alarm will sound when the door is opened. Can the OEM remote be configured to disarm the alarm? Option C1 OEM Remote Monitoring is enabled.

AUX1 behavior when set to latched

Using a evo-one /w RF642W on a 2011 Camry. I am wiring AUX1 to control defroster. The negative aux1 output will be wired to the car’s main defroster relay. I am activating options 25.6 “WHEN ACTIVATED, LATCH UNTIL REMOTE STARTER SHUTDOWN” and 39.2 “TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED”. I want to know more how the evo-one acts in this state. Specifically, could the user activate aux1 with the remote when the remote starter is not running? I want to prevent the situation where the user inadvertently activates the defrost when the car is not running, draining the battery. The 25.6 option says it will stay latched when the remote starter is activating, which is what I want. However, how does it act when the remote starter is not running? Thanks.

No horn function on 2010 Ford F-150

I have installed EVO-All and RF642W into a 2010 Ford F-150. I wired the install following guide 34441 and flashed firmware 71.46. All functions work as expected such as remote start and lock / unlock with one exception. The horn does not sound. I tried activating the evo-alarm with lock/unlock chirps. I know the horn is controllable over the ms-can network; I hooked up a scan tool and was able to command the horn to honk. Is it possible to get the horn working with the evo-all? Thanks.
