Can I read the current settings from my EVO One?

Good day. I'm replacing the Evo One in my car, and I'm not sure how it's currently configured (THAR or not, configured options, etc). Can I read the settings on my old Evo One so I can apply them to the new one as a starting point? I have the FLASHLINK unit already. Thanks!

How can I flash EVO-ALL to work datalink/d2d with Viper 4806v?

I have an EVO-ALL. When using Flashlink software, I don't see Viper listed as an option for datalink/d2d. What option should I select? It is strange that Viper's sister companies are listed (Clifford, Avital, Python, etc) but NOT Viper. Vehicles: 2007 Ford F150 and 2013 Toyota Tacoma

FAQ: Do in need the Flash Link Updater

Yes.

The Flash Link Updater programming tool is a trade tool. It is required in order to flash approriate firmware and setup approriate options in the EVO-Series remote starter and remote starter bypass modules.

The Flash Link Updater is also required when vehicle programming requires the use the Dcryptor process.

Flashlink not being detected in Manager

Flash link update to firmware stuck at 1%

Went to update the flash link to the newest firmware version. Update never moved past 1% after an hour and now the flash link says there was an error when doing last update and so it forces you to try again but it never gets past 1%. So now it will not connect to the evo-one to change settings.

Module loses detecting when entering remote starter mode on flashlink with EVO One and flashlink v4

The flashlink updater toggles back and forth from bypass to remote starter often with EVO One. Doing anything where I'd like to edit or do something with the remote starter side, on remote starter mode, the leds all light up momentarily for couple seconds and then the operations fail. I can trick things around by selecting "special unit" which appears to toggle the modes for the moment. But I can't do anything such as edit options or update firmware on the remote starter side. Everything on bypass mode works fine. I'm able to update the firmware there. I did a search and found some old workarounds to pull out USB and back, but all that did was lose the connection and the application stated that it can't find the updater. addon: I tried to flash another evo one immediately after and that module had no issue. So that probably rules out the flashlink updater and cable. I made sure the connector is seated correctly. If it's anywhere important, all the LEDs blink 25 times on the non-working module, whereas the working module did not blink at all.

Flash-Link Updater is only detected by FlashLink Manager in FLU mode?

Software: FlashLink Manager 4.36; Windows 10 Pro x64 version 1809 Hardware: Flash-Link Updater Ver.4, firmware 4.03 FlashLink Manager will not detect my Updater, unless I attempt to initiate a firmware update. Following that process, the firmware update gets stuck at 1%, so nothing happens. Canceling the update just puts me back to square one, with FL Manager stating that it is unable to detect the FL Updater. The red power light is on, indicating proper power, and I have tried multiple USB ports and cables, even different computers. The Updater driver was installed correctly, and "FES FlashLink Device" appears in my Device Manager with no warnings. The fact that the unit is detected when I try to update the firmware gives me hope that it is not defective, so can someone show me what I'm missing? Thanks!

is it possible to use Flash Link Update 2 to update Firmware on Compustar Brain Module (IE CM5000)

Gooday Fortin Tech team, 1st of all, great product. Flashing evoall was super easy. I am trying to install the evoall bypass in conjunction with Compustar Alarm and remote start CM5000. for the range and 2 way LCD. My CM5000 is a bit older, therefore I wanted to update the firmware and access it function thru the computer interface. I am aware that if I use Idatalnk flash updater ( ADS-Usb) it will be able to update the firmware on the CM5000. I was wondering if the Fortin flash updater can preform the same fuction as the Idata (ADS- USB)? I don't really want to buy the idata ADS-USB just for 1 time use. 2015-Lexus-Rx350-push button start.

Do I need the Flash-Link Updater?

Every profession has its tools. The Flash-Link Updater device, and the Flash-Link Manager software, are no exception to this rule.

The Flash Link Updater (FLU) allows you to update the firmware on your Fortin bypass modules and remote-starters in a matter of seconds. The FLU will work with modules that have bar codes or QR codes stamped on the label. It's compatible with Windows software, and allows you to upgrade/downgrade the firmware version on any of our supported modules through a USB cable, PC and Internet connection..

The Flash-Link Updater device is available through all Fortin authorized distributors.

The Flash-Link Manager software is available for free download here: https://fortin.ca/en/support/flashlinkmanager.html

EVO-ALL flashlink updater first time question.

First Evo-all product i've installed and have a question regarding the flash link program. Flashing the unit to a 14' VW Beetle PTS - flashing unit as a standalone. My question is regarding the bottom right hand corner of the screen says bypass mode. Tried switching over to get it to remote start mode but the flashing program then says unit not discovered. Is this corect flash it as a bypass unit or am I missing something?

Flash Link Manager Help File

I find that many links to Fortin's site are returning 404 errors.. Specifically, the user guide for Flash Link Manager 3.54.. When I click Help, User Guide, it tries to open http://fortin.ca/download/16141/16141.pdf -- However, there is nothing there. Can you please supply the current version somewhere? Thank you. EDIT: I am able to find the general user guides which tell how to use the software. I am trying specifically to find a user guide that details all of the options available. Thanks, Rick

I am having problems programming EVO-ALL's with the Flash-Link-2.

I can flash the modules with updates ok, but they won't remember the options I have chosen (i.e. stand alone start or brake switch monitor) and when I try to flash without also doing an update, it tells me the module has been disconnected and it crashes. I then have to disconnect and close the program. Re-open the program and re-flash any update as it will show the Hardware vr. 0. Then I try to set the options again only to start the same problem over and over. After about 10-15 attemps, it seems to then "remember" the programming when installed back in the vehicle. It has done this on two Chevrolets and now the last 3 Chrysler products. I have been using this flash-link 2 since 1/2014. I have uninstalled your program and downloaded it several times and still have the same results. Is there a way to re-flash the flash-link itself?? Do the flash-links go bad after so many installs?? Thanks.
