Hello everyone. Has my subject states I called them. I have 14 compass 2.4. Since I have owned my jeep for about 2.5yrs I have nothing but problems with the factory remote start. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I press the buttons to now end and get nothing. Doors won't unlock, or they do, but they don't lock. Try to start it it will beep twice and nothing, or I get 1 beep.
So today I got frustrated. It beeped twice and got nothing or it beeped once. Wouldn't unlock/lock. I haven't driven it all week, been in a garage. So I called JEEP express my frustration and aggravation. And that JEEP should own up this reoccurring problem to me and others and recall the vehicles, or offer sometime of remedy. But all I got is from a lady reading me the damn manual on WHAT may cause this. I been there, done, tried it, etc... I told them that I am tempted to go see about aftermarket one and JEEP should pay for it. Glad I didn't need to get in my jeep in a hurry. I wouldn't bc the fob or whatever won't work and I was to damn busy fondling with keys. "This is not except able."
I know jeep won't do anything abt it. But at least I can say I tried.
Just a crappy design. I think I will try an aftermarket thing to see if there is away to bypass the OEM one.
