I installed a new EVO-ONE in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra sedan PTS. I soldered the wires instead of using quick splice wire connections. I double, triple, and even 10x checked all the wiring. I even called Fortin support because some of the wires on the standard install weren't the same color coming from the car, they said it's the wire position that's most important. I also purchased the Fortin RF remote kit. I bought the unit from eBay, the seller programmed the unit for the RF kit and the car.
I checked the parking light wire to make sure it wasn't +12v, once that was hooked up and knew that all basic install wires were connected, tried the remote start, and it did not start the car. The parking lights flashed 3 times, but did not start. Lock/Unlock/Trunk Release all work, but starter does not. I tried to check the various ignition wires with a multimeter at the harness plug, but I don't know if any are supposed to send +12v from the Fortin unit or not. I previously programmed the remotes and got the responses from the car that the instructions indicated I should get. I turned on the car ignition, got orange light on EVO-ONE. Locked the doors, the antenna started flashing blue, the EVO-ONE was flashing red. When trying to remote start, the EVO-ONE flashed red I believe, until the "did not start" signal came back to the remote.
Any help I can get?
