2006 ford f150 rf kit door locks

0 votes
Hello, I have a 2006 ford 150 that I would like to install the evo one into. I see the 3X option is not avaliable for this truck. Is there anyway to wire one of the inputs to the door lock negative/positive to trigger the 3x start and use it that way? Or if I install the rf kit with the evo one can I use the spare on board dpdt relay to actuate the door locks on this truck? I want to get away from carrying two remotes if I can. Any ideas to achieve this welcome!

Thanks

It is do able but would required quite a few parts:

1- Evo-One

2- Metra trigger

3- Flash link updater

4- RF kit (but only to enable a specific hidden option)

Essentially what you would do is using an RF kit enable option 38.3 in the evo-one, this will turn the center pin of the shock sensor port into a external trigger. This only works on a single pulse not 3 which is were the metra trigger comes in, it can convert 3 pulses (from your door lock wire) into a single output pulse. So essentially you would end up with a 3x lock.

So while it is not easy and will cost more it is do able.

Here is the guide you would want to follow to use the metra trigger with the evo-one/en/qa/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=8611491735551431219

OR

Just carry a second remote.

Derek, thanks for getting back to me. Sounds like the easiest way is to just have 2 remotes, bummer. There is no way to use the on board aux DPDT realay to signal  lock and unlock using the Fortin RF kit with the evo one? I have the flash link already. We have installed 10 or 12 of the evo one and evo all. You guys build a great product.

Thanks
