Evo-One responds to commands over Fortin RF642W kit poorely.

Commands given from the RF642W two way kit are unreliable. Lock and unlock commands do not work 1/4 or more of the time, even when standing within 10ft. of the antenna. The remote beeps as if it has made communication with the car but the lock/unlock commands do not register. Improper status is also given commonly when using the status request feature. I have gotten confirmation that the car is locked on multiple occasions when the car is surely not locked. This RF kit is spotty at best, what gives? Is there better firmware or something? Antenna is mounted in the front window and has no obstructions. Lock and trunk commands are being fed over OBD. Car is a 2003 Buick Century.

No Crank with remote start

Hello, installed a remote starter in a 2005 buick allure. prostart ct-3471 tw and fortin Int-sl+. Used wire color and autostart wiring color guides. Used fortin int-sl+ schematic 1. Had unit start once with remote starter. Tried again, have not been able to start since with remote starter, still starts with key. when using remote, dash lights quickly light up, and then go out, does not crank. tried reprogramming int-sl+, loaded newest software v3.06. I am out of ideas. This vehicle was previously equipped with factory remote starter, noticed yellow ignition wire in ignition harness is +12v pulse, will not stay pos for duration of cranking. Please, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, MIke Unger.

Wired exactly as the install guide said but car won't even try to crank.

Installed an Evo-One and Fortin RF642W 2 way RF kit in a 2003 Buick Century. Followed "connection 1" and "programming 1" as stated to by this install guide. http://fortin.ca/download/23261/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_gm_j1850_b_23261.pdf

 

All wiring has been verified multiple times to be exactly what the install guide said to do...nothing more and nothing less.

 

When I try to remote start the car, via the 2 way remote, the car will power on but will not crank the starter at all. When I use the remote to kick the car into "idle mode", the car unlocks as it should but shuts off when I turn the ignition off to pull the key.

 

Bypass portion programmed fine....RF remote also programmed fine.

 

Literally, the only wires connected at the moment are what the install guide I linked above says.

The evo all light is solid yellow when key is turned on is this ok

Also the lc-7 will not flash to program remote i am using the thr gm1 v2 harness do i need to power the lc-7 seperatly

EVO-ONE is preventing my physical key from starting my car.

The EVO-ONE installed in my 2003 Buick Century prevents my car's actual starter(not remote starter) from cranking for 5-10+mins at a time. Here is the rundown: -Unlock car and start with actual key=no issue. -Remote start car with Fortin RF kit, hop into car, insert key and turn ignition to run position=no issue. Here's where it gets weird... -Remote start the car with Fortin RF kit. Car starts and is running. -I hop in and insert the key into ignition but "forget" to turn the ignition barrel at all. -I hit the brake, as you would before putting the car into gear and the car shuts off, as it should, due to the ignition barrel not being turned to "run" position before the brake tap. -After the car has shut off due to tapping the brake before turning ignition to "run", I turn my key that is in the ignition barrel already and my car's actual starter willl not even attempt to crank. All other items in the car turn on as they should(i.e. radio, air, fuel pump primes, etc.). EVO will turn the car on but will not even try and crank the starter if I try to remote start again at this point. -I wait about 10mins and then try a few more times with the actual physical key and the car will start now. So after the car comes back alive, I can turn it on and off with the key a million times in a row just fine. I go and repeat the remote starting and put the key in ignition(but not turned to "run") and tap the brake to shut the car off and the car now will not start again. I can replicate this every single time I do what I described above. This problem cost me $200 and and hour on my back in 5F weather putting a new starter in about a month ago because I figured the starter solenoid died on my wife. Why would this be happening? This car is equipped from the factory with an anti-grind relay. It's acting like anti-grind relay thinks the car is trying to double start, which it's not.

CM800-S Options Programming using Remotes

The CM800-S manual Page 18 gives information on programming with remotes. The manual mentions Tapping a "KEY" button, on the 1 way 4 button remotes (which I have Model 700R). The "KEY" button is in the same position as the * Star (Start) button on other remotes, am hoping this is correct. There is no mention of how to "scroll through" the list of menu items under each of Option Menu 1, Option Menu 2 or Option Menu 3. Therefore the question is: How does one scroll through the Options with the Remote? When the Option Group is entered how does one advance, and how does one exit the programming mode? CM800-S 1995 Buick Park Avenue - Door Unlock/Lock

Orange/Black Driver's Kick These colors are incorrect, these are for 1996, the correct colors are White and Light Blue for 1995's, can be found at the Door Lock/Unlock Switch or in the bundle of wires Driver's side under carpet, above Rocker area. http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/1994-1995/buick/parkavenue/331.html This link has the correct colors in a chart. Regarding the quest for information regarding the subject of Door Locks, the 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue's ALL HAVE (+) DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK configuration at the switches. [However the Remote Accessory Control sends (-)] I built and tested a bank of two standard relay's for the purpose of Door Lock/Unlock which is operational from CM800-S Remotes. The CN3 wires to connect to the relay's are #4 Blue (-) Unlock and #5 Blue/Black (-) Lock . The car wire colors are White (Unlock) and Light Blue (Lock), these are the same wires that run to the Lock/Unlock Relay, under the carpet at front of Driver's seat. However the relay's that I set up to operate the doors do not turn on the interior lights, and unlock opens all the doors, not just Driver's door on the first pulse, so going to try and get the CM800-S (-) pulses connected to the correct wires at the Remote Accessory Control / LH Door Isolation Relay area to gain some functionality. The CM800-S Trunk Release (-) attached to the dash Trunk Release Switch (car wire Black), unlocks the doors at the same time as the trunk is opened, which is what the installation details show as correct. Regal 2010 on EVO ALL with THAR-GM1V2 programming fail

My car is Regal 2010 flip key with auto transmission I got EVO-All and THAR-GM1V2, everything is well installed. Firmware is upgraded to latest version of this car. When I follow the programming guide step4, that is a long step, some actions requires to be finished within 5 second. When I finish step4 within 5 seconds, the yellow light keeps on and red light flash rapidly, which is differenct as guide shows. Please help. What should I do? Add more info I want to use it with oem remoter. The issue I described above was follow the programming guide. And it was not success as I mentioned. Then I tried to follow the decryptor guide. It's also difference as the guide shows. In the guide the last status should be blue light flash rapidly then remove the key blue light flash slowly. In my case the blue light keep light on before and after remove the key. However I still finish the whole process with flash link updater. When I reconnect the 4-Pin connector back after all the remaining connector, both red, yellow and blue light keep flash. I don't know whether the status is correct or not. When I push unlock button 3 times, nothing happen. Any more info needs, please let me know.

CM800-S Install 1995 Buick Park Avenue

1995 Buick Park Avenue - Remote Start is operational and Tachometer operational with White wire connected at Ignition Control Module. However --> Park Lights do not illuminate, correct wire is hooked up (to Drk Brown lower driver's kick), shows + 12v only when Park Switch is On; also Trunk Open not operational, wire connected to Black/White Stripe lower driver's kick). I purchased the WireColor page for 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue, and there no photos to correspond with the #'s of the wires in Tab One. The information for this item said there would be photo's. Is there a glitch in the system? Would appreciate the photo's for the WireColor entry for 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue and/or some ideas to get this installed. Thanks for your response. Gerald PS. 2012 Buick Regal GS PTS, EvoAll stand alone installed using guide 9901. I get to step 5 of the programming sequence and when PTS button is pressed the yellow and red lights both flash?

Im trying to install astand alone evo all with the t harness in my buick 2012 manual transmission. What guide should I use is seen confusion when you go to the T harness, I can fond wehre to install the resistors and the diode. And when I follow the evo-all guide It does not say anything about the t harness.

1991 Buick Park Avenue - What is correct number of flashes after programming SL2?

Have installed Compustar CM800,SL2 & have programmed the SL2 and all is working. The SL2 bypassed the security and remembers the setting, the car starts on the remote as it should. However the number of flashes after programming is FIVE and the installation instructions say the number of flashes after correct programming should be THREE. Would appreciate knowing what the FIVE flashes means. Thanks

Which wires for 2013 Buick Regal PTS

I've read that for the 2013 Regal push-to-start, the t-harness is needed. Is this true? I have a manual transmission. If the t-harness is not used, which wires actually need to be hooked up? Only the solid black lines on the diagram? I would of course be tapping into the factory starter (since it's push to start anyways). It seems as though some of the solid black wires on the diagram are supposed to be run to an aftermarket starter system, and not interface at all with the EvoAll (such as the +12V coming from the vehicle's pin 1 in the blue connector), which makes it seem as though I won't even be using all the solid black wires on the diagram either. I've also read that the diode indicated in the instructions is not neccessary. Is that accurate? Finally, the instructions indicate that I need to cut a wire in the factory harness. Is this accurate? If so, is there any other solution that prevents the need to cut a wire? Warranty issues would prevent me from straight up cutting a wire in half. Thanks for your help.

lock/trunk release

2004 Buick Regal, evo-all service # 001A06453856 firmware 4.06, Avital 4103 RS. I decided to use the data-link so I changed the protocol on the evo and RS to D2D. Everything works except lock and trunk release. When I press the unlock the doors unlock the evo blue and the red led on the RS flash on then off. When I press the lock button the yellow led briefly flashes on and off then the red led flashes on and off, the RS led just blinks until I press the unlock button again. There is no response from pressing the trunk release, no lights nothing. After I updated the firmware other than changing the data-lick protocol to D2D I think I left everything else in there default settings.
