Jeep electronics restarts, possible short?

I've got a 2011 jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon with the evo-all chrt5, and install appears to be OK. I've got the 2 yellow ignition wires connected fine, and the connection seems solid. If I move the box aroung under the steering column, it seems to turn electronics on and off. I got it situated so it seemed to work, then took a drive and found my stereo, hvac, and dash electronics would randomly turn on/off, even if there weren't any bumps or dips in the road. All the wires seemed secure to their respective plugs in the wiring loom, is it possible I got a defective unit, or has anyone else seen this issue before?
