2020 Buick encore installation clarification

I have Purchased a Evo-GMT6 with THAR-GM6 harness for a 2020 Buick Encore push start and im looking for clarification. 1.On page 4(wiring diagram) of guide #77331, shows to make a connection between the light blue wire and light blue/black wire. Do these need to be spliced together? What is the reason for this? 2. Also, wondering what start/stop external control means? 3. Are the good hood pins/ valet switch required for the function of the module? Thanks, Brad

MyCar Programming without valet switch

How do I enter programming mode to get the MyCar module programmed without a valet switch? I have a 2013 Toyota Tundra and installed the Evo One in 2015. Everything works fine. I'm unable to get the Evo One into programming mode to accept the MyCar Telematics module (because I never had a valet switch). Is there any other way to get into programming mode without a valet switch?

Replacement valet switch available?

During installation of an EVO-ONE unit, the valet switch fell apart and is not repairable. Is a replacement valet switch available?

How do I ground the valet switch

Im installing on a 2015 Mazda 3 and I’m seeing that the valet switch can be used in place of the hood pin. I see it just needs to be grounded? Does this mean I just need to splice one wire from the switch to the blue wire on the harness and then the other wire to another ground wire or Somewhere that’s metal? Also, if I install this and decide I’d like to change a setting on it, can I just unplug it from the car and then hook it up and change the setting and plug it back in? Or will I need to reprogram it with my keys and everything all over again? Would there also happen to be a way to control the front and rear defrosters with an added mobile remote start app? Sorry for all the questions!

Valet switch

I have a quick question. I have the remote starter all hooked up and working. I need to hook up the valet switch but wasn't sure if I have it correctly. Do I hook the valet wire from the unit to the switch and add another wire to the switch to somewhere on the vehicle. Thanks. Richard.

2012 Honda civic valet switch not working.

I installed Evo-One on honda civic 2012 with t-harness. Programming seems to have gone fine install seemed easy enough. Then I go to test the 3XLock to start and nothing happens, after checking settings and making sure harness wasn't damaged I decided to reset the unit and try again. When I turn on the car the valet switch does not enter unit into programming mode. I tried holding it for 10 seconds, I tried pushing it three times and nothing works. What could be wrong that would stop the Valet switch and remote start from working?

Valet switch wiring with lighted three prong switch

I would like to wire up a valet switch to have inside my van for disabling the remote start. I have a lighted three prong rocker switch, and i can get the switch to work properly with two wires, however I can't seem to connect it so that the LED lights up at the appropriate time (light up when I turn the switch on to disable the remote start). I could get it to light up all the time, which I don't want, and I could get it to light up when on, however the remote start wouldn't be disabled... how can I wire it up to work so the remote start is disabled when the switch is on (and the LED lights up)?? i have the hood pin switch wired up and it works too.

I've looked online and haven't seen anyone installing these on 08 VW's

Valet Switch

Is there a way I can purchase another valet switch? The black button flew out of its casing.

2014 Jeep Patriot Purpose of hood pin/valet, parking light, start/stop external connections

I am looking to Connect a Evo-All Stand Alone on a 2014 Jeep Patriot. I am following installation diagram C. When I bought this evo, it was preflashed and listed as only needing to connect the harnesses. I have not attempted any installation yet. For the single wire connection coming off the 20 pin connector, I am looking for more infomation on the purpose of them to determine what is necessary and to allow me to locate the wires and troubleshoot any incorrect connections. -For the 20 Pin Connector i. Externial input (Start/Stop External control negative) - What is this and what would this connect to? ii. Parking light out negative (this is the white/purple positive for 2014 jeep patriot) - Is this just to blink the break lights and would a relay be required to make this connection, if so is this connection necessary. If it is necessary would it connect to the red/purple wire (shown on wirecolor.com under parking lights) iii. Hood pin/Valet switch (no valet switch for 2014 Jeep Patriot which is a hatchback) is this a necessary connection and if so, where would this connect to near stearing column (without running under hood to actual switch). The directions state that this is optional, dark blue (from 20 pin connector) with no polarity given. Wirecolor.com list this as negative black/pink (from the 20 pin connector), and has no location or pictures of the colors. Yellow and Green/orange will be connected per instruction C. Seller Flashed for Stand Alone T Harness Hardware V6 Firmware Vr 74-19 (Seller may have updated it further) Date 11/2015
