Mazda 3 2018 - Evo One - Rear Defrost

I installed a Evo one in a Mazda 3 2018 push to start automatic with the Thar-One-Maz3 Harness with OEM remote (3x lock). I want to activate the rear defrost on remote start. I have activated the option 39. On wirecolor, it says that the rear defrost is "Positive". Two questions : - What option should I take for 25 ? (there are 6). - How I set the A13 wire to send positive signal ? - How do I wire the A13 ? Do I simply tap on the vehicule wire ? Thanks ! How can I activate the rear defrost ? On wirecolor, it says that the rear defrost is "Positive". I have activated the option 39. What

EVO-One for 2011 Mazdaspeed 3 - Remote start starts the vehicle but immediately shutsdown after 1 second.

After I put my vehicle in ready-mode for my manual, push-to-start vehicle, my car will remote start properly, however, it immediately shuts off after about 2 seconds. Parking lights don't show any indication on why it shutdowns either. What could be the issue? I also noticed that the wiring diagram for installation have flipped wiring colors for 7A (Back Clutch Switch 2) and 7B (Front clutch switch 1). It says the Back clutch switch should have 2 cables, a WHITE and a BLACK cable, however, in reality it has a GREY and BLACK cable. Same thing with the Front clutch switch; diagram says it should have a GREY and BLACK cable but it they're WHITE and BLACK in my car... I have tried both of these wirings actually, and the problem still persists. Even if this is not the cause of the problem, which one is correct?

(15 Mazda 3) Car cranks but ignition does not turn on, after steps 1-12

I can get through steps 1-12 (though the security light never displays on the dash), and when the ignition is supposed to turn the car on, the dash lights turn on, I hear a crank, but the car never starts. However, I do get the red and yellow lights flashing, so I tried connecting to the PC to use dcryptor, thinking maybe it will turn on after, but still no luck. Does anyone know what the issue is? I'm using THAR-MAZ1 with the Evo-All and following guide 62681. Everything is plugged in, and the only wiring done is the Lt blue to Lt blue on the 32 pin connector, and the Lt Blue/Black to the red on the 32 pin connector. Am I missing a connection, perhaps an ignition wire? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

EVO-ONE 2015 Mazda 3 Manual Transmission - Remote Start Will Not Activate

2015 Mazda 3 Grand Touring Hatchback, push-to-start, smart key, manual transmission.  I cannot get the module to start the vehicle with 3x OEM remote lock.  I've followed the instructions for manual transmission in Guide #68261.  My EVO-ONE serial number is 002B04 298695 and it is dated 09/2022.  Here's what I've done:

EVO-ONE flashed with Firmware 85.12. Using T-Harness. Yellow loop wire NOT cut White wire labeled "for manual transmission only" on the T-harness is connected to the white wire coming out of the 20-pin connector.  These wires are just butt spliced with no other connection. DCryptor process to enable key bypass appears to have been successful from all FlashLink software messages. Remote starter option 33 is set to mode 2 for foot brake - handbrake - release foot brake Ready Mode process. Remote starter option 38 is set to mode 2 to enable 3x lock with OEM remote. Bypass option C1 is on for OEM remote status monitoring. I did not install a hood pin.  I am not concerned about remote starting while the hood is open.  Bypass option A11 is set to "off." Bypass options for foot brake, hand brake, door output monitoring are all set to "on."

To enable ready mode, I depress the foot brake, engage the hand brake, release the footbrake, and exit the car while it is still running without pushing the start button.  The car just sits there and runs, nothing happens when I close the door and walk so that the smart key is out of range.  I also tried doing this with shutting the car off before exiting and was still not able to remote start the vehicle.

When I press the lock button on the OEM remote, the blue LED on the EVO-ONE blinks indicating it is reading the CAN bus messages.

When the car is running, the yellow LED on the EVO-ONE is steadily illuminated.

At no point does the red LED on the EVO-ONE illuminate.  It does not turn on after pressing the OEM remote lock button 3x.

When I press the OEM lock button 3x after the above ready mode process, absolutely nothing happens except the car horn beeps on the 2nd and 3rd presses like it normally would.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Manual transmission remote start without using ready mode? 2018 Mazda 3

2018 Mazda 3 manual transmission. I have the evo one with the t-harness. everything works as advertised. I want to only use the oem key, which means the only way I can use remote start is enabling option 33.2. With that, I lose the following abilities: 1. use parking brake in traffic (would cause ready mode to activate) 2. walk away lock ( car does lock it self after ready mode activation, but it is based on a timer instead of proximity) 3. shutting off the car while the door is open 4. shutting off the engine before engaging the parking brake 5. stopping the car only with parking brake 6. not over working the door lock motors 7. ability to unlock the car to grab something without starting the engine (you must remote start/remote stop to keep ready mode if you want to do that) Parking the car in neutral does not concern me, but having these restrictions to enable remote start every time frustrates me. Is there a way to disable ready mode and make my installation work like an automatic transmission install? I would like to have remote start available every time. Is it possible to flash the automatic version of the settings to use on my car? Can I cut the yellow loop on the evo one? or both? I'm not sure if this will cause any electrical damage.

Mazda 3 5dr (hatchback), Manual Transmission, RFID in keyfob.

Vehicle type:

2011 Mazda 3 (5 door/hatchback), manual transmission, key to start. Integrated key/keyfob (lock, unlock, panic), keyless entry w/RFID chip for factory immobilizer system.

Wants:

Remote Starter, Factory Immobilizer bypass, OEM keyfob (lock-lock-lock to start), alarm functionality optional at a later date.

Ready to install Evo-One, Flash-Link and RFK442.

Few problems so far (have not started install yet or any flashing of Evo-One vehicle specific Bypass settings):

I see a conflict between Fortin wiring guide #80431 and #29661. Same vehicle, Mazda 3 - Axela 2010-2013, but two different wiring schemes.  Which one is the more correct one, or, can you suggest a better one?

On Fortins website, for this vehicle it states 'Automatic Transmission Vehicles Only'  In Guide #80431, pg 5, it gives Manual Transmission programming instructions as does with Guide #29661 pg6, both of which conflicts with Fortins webpage..

With Flash-Link v4.51, when entering vehicle info, there is NO option for Manual Transmission.

In Guide #94011, pg11 (Function #20) Engine Supervision: Tachless, Analog or Data-Link.

I see there is no option for a true Analog input; i.e Vacuum switch, or hardwire to coil (or even a much older method of wraping 6in of stripped wire around a spark plug wire). Is there not a true analog tach input?

I also cannot seem to anything at all about 'clutch bypass'

So, Manual Transmission? Yes or No?

For the Flash-Link Manager software, the v4.51 does not reflect the instructions I found for possibly older software instructions of Flash-Link Manager User Guide v1 #68731, any updated Guide #?

Flash-Link Manager software v4.51 (when I click on Settings in the software it shows v4.51-1.1.15)

Flash-Link V4 module, Hardware V5, Firmware v4.08

Evo-One module date 07/2021, s/n (PM me for serial number), Firmware: for a moment it showed v1.25 then within a few seconds dropped down to v1.01

Thanks, Nick.

quick question...

I installed the EVO ONE with the THAR-ONE-MAZ3 T-Harness on my 2016 Mazda 3 (automatic tranny, push-to-start). I installed the OEM Mazda hood switch part #KD53-V7-629 for my 3. The remote start works fine using the LOCK-UNLOCK-LOCK sequence on the OEM key fob. My question is - the fob sequence also starts the car with any of the doors open and it will also start it with the hood up. Is this correct? Or should it not start due to doors or hood being open? Thanks for your time/input.

Conseil Mazda-3 2019

2014 Mazda 3 - How to take over

Hello, I recently bought a 2014 Mazda 3 GT auto with this remote start module preinstalled. To start the car, simple, lock-unlock-lock sequence. Now when I hop in the car, I was told that without pushing the brake, I am supposed to double press the start/stop button and then I can press the brake and continue to shift into gear and go. However, after I double press the start/stop button, I press the brake and the car shuts off. Is there something I am doing incorrectly here? Thanks,

2018 Mazda 3 Automatic - Ignition comes ON but does not flash Yellow and Red (Step 13)

Hi Fortin Q/A forum. Installing a EVO-MAZT1 which I first connected to Fortin FlashLink Manager to upload the latest firmware (suggested 85.10) on Hardware 7.0. Loaded Suggested Options, then went to the car to perform Programming. Programming Steps 1-12 go as planned, but when the ignition turns ON and OFF by the module, the Yellow and Red LEDs do not flash as indicated in the guide. I disconnected the module as indicated by the instruction manual (disconnect all connectors, saving the 4-Pin Data connector for last) and then connected it back up to FlashLink Manager to run DCryptor. DCryptor says INVALID KEY DATA and "The immobilizer data received by the bypass module is incomplete. Please try again. If this error persists reconnect the module to the vehicle and start programming procedure from STEP 1." Via the troubleshooting guides, I removed the batteries from the key fobs and tried again. Verified connection to the data key wire was correct (Car's Red wire to bypass' Light Blue and Black wire) and secure (shaved insulation, wire inserted through conductors, wire wrapped, soldered, and taped). Door lock actions can be seen on the bypass/remote start module as indicated by the Blue LED. I'm confident those wires are connected correctly and securly as well. I tried all of the above with and without the front fuse box ground to Pin 11. Someone please explain what that does, but the manual did not indicate if it was mandatory or optional so I tried both ways. In the end, I can't get DCryptor to program the module with the learning received during programming. I fear it has to do with the Yellow and Red LEDs not flashing. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Wiring issue Mazda 3- 2015-PTA-Automatic

I boutght The mazda EVO-All with T-harness for my 2015 Mazda PTA automatic and I am confused about the wiring on number 2,3 and 4 in red circles.

On guide #62681 page 6 at the bottom of the page(#2 in red circle) it says that I need to connect LT.BLUE/BLACK Wire to Pin#8 and the Lt.Blue wire to #9 pin on 32-pin White connector.my question is how am I supposed to do this?Do I need to disconnect the 32-pin White connector from Car and connect these 2 wires individually to the part which is attached to the car or the part wich I disconnect from the car?there is no conncetor in the harness to connect these 2 wires.

I have the same issue with #3 and #4 in RED circles at the bottom of the page 6 as-well.how am I supposed to conncet the D section on Evo-All to #1 & #3 on the 8-pin White connector and also connect 4A an 4B on the engine compartment.

I do not see any part on the harness to coonect these parts.am I supposed to buy connectores, strip the wires and attach the wires by myself?there is no extra connector or pin or wire stripper in the package.

Thanks for your help.

Can EVO-MAZT1 in standalone mode be programmed with one key/fob?

I am looking to install the EVO-All with the THAR-MAZ1 t-harrness in standalone configuration in a 2014 Mazda 3 (push-button automatic), and the installation guide states that 2 key fobs are required to programm the evo-all, however I only have 1 key fob.

I want a confirmation whether the evo-all can be programmed successfully with a single key fob, and clarification on what that process would look like? Should I simply skip the steps for the second key fob or follow the steps using the first key?

Installation Guide page 8: https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/62681/evo-all_ig_tsa_bi_maz1-3_pts_2014-2017_door_v2_e_62681.pdf

Mazda 3 (2016) when using RS only drivers door will unlock

I'm using an EVO One with Maz3 T harness. I have one issue, when using remote start only the drivers door will unlock. I tried to change settings in the car but the only setting I could find was unlock all doors. This isn't the best option as far as safety in case someone were to try to jump in when we unlock the door. The only change I made to settings was to use the OEM remote with Lock-Unlock-Lock instead of the Lock 3x because using Lock 3x causes the horn to honk after the first push on the lock button. Is there any way to fix not being able to unlock the passenger and rear doors? This is on the girlfriends car and she wants to be able to put her purse in the back.

evo-one THAR-ONE-MAZ3 RF KIT PROGRAMMING ERROR

2014 Mazda 3 Automatic push to start. Using Guide #68451 for remote programming

I successfully installed the EVO-One with T-harness and the car starts with oem remote with no trouble. However, I am attempting to install the RF642W kit with no success.  When I plug the antenna into the Evo one it will briefly flash blue but then wont illuminate again under any circumstance. I can put the module in and out of valet mode with 3 presses however if I hold the valet button when the ignition is turned on, I don’t get a horn/chirp like the quick installation guide suggests and thus can’t complete step 2 of the programming process. The evo-one and rf kit are new and have not been paired with other devices. Any help as to where i am going wrong would be appreciated

Evo one sucsessfully installed using guide#68261

mazda 3 2012 standard key with evo-one : vehicle is not unlocking and alarm starts when remote starting the vehicle

Need help. Problem 1: the car don't unlock. I hear the lock mechanism, but it's like if the car is locking instead of unlocking. The flashers flash twice. The lock command works fine (flashers flash once). Problem 2: when I remote start the car, the alarm starts. I have to unlock the car from the oem remote to stop the alarm. I installed an Evo One in a Mazda 3 2012 standard key using the regular installation instructions https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/29661/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_maz-2-3-tribute_2001_key_b_29661.pdf I connected all the wires directly, without any resistor. The only wire I didn't connect is the "Parking Light" (E1). The analog door lock wire (green/red A18) was connected to the dark green wire in the BCM driver kick panel (wirecolor pin 127,129) without any resistor. All the firmwares are the latest. Did I do something wrong? Is it because of the parking light wire (White E1) that I didn't connect? I didn't find the wire on wirecolor. Is it accessory 2? Is it because I didn't use the 1 Kohm resistor as on wirecolor for the analo door lock? How can I use a resistor for lock but not for unlock when using a single wire? Do I have to activate/disable any option on the unit (evo one)? Please help. Thanks, André

What is the correct steps to start my car

I bought a brand new manual mazda 3 2018 with a FTX 64-2W already installed by Mazda, I was able to remote start it ONE time since the purchase. Can you give me the sequence to be able to use your product? So far I was trying what I was told by the Mazda employee: Put the parking brake use the (-) Stop then (I) 3 sec Start Get out the car, lock the door 2 times. Is this really the sequence to stop the car in order to remote start it???

Mazda 3 2015 won't unlock with key once remote started

My friend got an EVO one installed on her 2015 Mazda 3, she was upset that the car was always shutting down when she opened the door, so I bought a flash kit and upgrade her firmware and did all the configuration needed. Since I did, the car is now operating fine, but the door can't unlock when started remotly with the OEM or Starter remote. We neen to use the real key. I double check and everything is configured properly. When i use the starter remote I hear the relay clicked in the EVO but nothing happen, which is strange cause the car use to unlock before. another thing that is weird is that when I plugged the EVO on the flash the first time, the software was indicating that the module was programmed for an Acura RDX 2013 ?? I change it to Mazda 3 of course. The module is : Service number 002B02 034639 preload date 48-2015, hardware rev 2. Thanks !

How to reconnect programmed evo-all/I think I may have made it faulty?

So I have evo-all with the t-harness for my 2014 mazda 3 push to start auto, and I updated the firmware and then went through the programming procedure and successfully completed it, but my car did not start with the 3x lock. I then realized my safety switch was in the wrong position (shorted to ground) so I switched it back and tried and still nothing. I then thought maybe this made the whole procedure invalid since that switch was in the wrong position, so I attempted to reprogram from the start. I basically got a bunch of leds on/flashing that aren't even mentioned so I figured this wasn't going to work and then I eventually found out that I had C1 and D1 disabled in the evo-all options. I enabled them and the flash link software says its still ready to use. I'm wondering how to reconnect it, as in what led to wait for when holding the programming button, or have I messed up my evo-all by trying to reprogram and what should I do now? Thanks, Trevor

Where are MAZ3 t-harness plugs located in 2018 Mazda3?

I'm installing an EVO-ONE with THAR-ONE-MAZ3 in a 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring Automatic w/ Push-to-start. Following the guide linked from the compatibility page (evo-one_ig_thr_bi_maz3-3-6-cx5_pts_2014-2017_1key_a_68261.pdf) states that the 32- and 24-pin connectors are located under the steering column. Having removed the top & bottom panels, there's nothing in there that matches either of the connectors. There are a few small plugs, but nothing as large as 24 or 32 pins. There's a match for the 24-pin connector in the fuse panel near the driver's door, but I can't find a match for the 32-pin. Any idea where the plugs are hiding on the '18?
