As a single install, is Bluetooth FlashLink Adapter worthwhile?

Hello, I purchased the Fortin EVO-ALL module to bypass my 2005 Ford Focus PATS system for remote starting my car through my Viper 5706v alarm/rs kit. It works flawlessly once I figured out my issue for decryptor. I can probably provide some updated/more clear diagrams for Fortin to offer for my vehicle, too. But all that aside... I used the USB FlashLink Update module to set up my EVO-ALL. I'm not sure if maintenance is recommended every so often to keep the firmware updated. If so, I would assume it's worth it to upgrade to the Bluetooth FlashLink device. I honestly want to ditch my Viper system out of disgust for DEI and have been looking at alternate systems. I don't remember but I might need to update the EVO-ALL firmware if I change to something that isn't the DEI D2D data bus. I was considering the Compustar T13 two-way system with LTE. I am not sure if Fortin actually provides a sufficient option for my older vehicle. I haven't looked in months, but I think it was only partially compatible with EVO-ONE. These are all reasons to consider the Bluetooth module, though I have no issue taking my laptop to my car and running FlashLink Update while plugged into the EVO-ALL without messing with my install. Aside from ditching the laptop for an android app, is there any other benefit to the Bluetooth module? Thanks.

I’m trying to connect rfk442 to the flashlink but it’s not detecting it. Is there a procedure to follow when connecting the wire to the flashlink?

Evo one no longer recognizes antenna after bypass programming

Was having an issue where the car would not lock after remote start was performed. After trying to reset some of the settings and reinstalling the rf kit no longer worked. Tried master reset and it started working again but then bypass was unprogrammed so had to reprogram decryptor. After that it stopped working and no longer gives horn honk or light on antenna when trying to go intoprogramming. Lights show it is in programming on the evoone. Rf kit is OL-RF-15-SST. Remote start software is .44 per install guide.

Why does it ask me for a pin when trying to connect Flashlink Bluetooth module to my fully updated Iphone?

2017 Subaru WRX Evo One T harness Flashlink Bluetooth. Asks me for a pin when try to connect to IPhone but doesn't ask me for a pin with Android.

I loaded the latest version of Flashlink which is 4.51 and is says PC is unable to connect

I have version 4.51 flashlink installed and flash link unit shows a red and green light but the software says the PC is unable to connect to the flash link updater. The red and green lights are on no matter if the EVO-ALL is connected or not. No lights on the EVO-ALL.

Flash Link v4 Manager Issues - freezing & no longer updating firmware on Evo-ALL

Hi, I import modules for Australian vehicles and a regular programmer of the Evo-ALL modules via Flash Link v4, with our usual preferred programming via FORTIN Pro Mode. When selecting the same "Update to 4.[01]" of firmware we always select, the program keeps freezing during update and we receive a notification on pc screen (in a black box) stating "Please select firmware version". Not sure what has changed or been updated by FORTIN since we last programmed modules approx 4 weeks back? Have uninstalled/reinstalled Flash Link v4 - same issue; attempted programming for a different vehicle, still freezing during firmware update. Regards, Kyran

FAQ: Do in need the Flash Link Updater

Yes. 

The Flash Link Updater programming tool is a trade tool. It is required in order to flash approriate firmware and setup approriate options in the EVO-Series remote starter and remote starter bypass modules. 

The Flash Link Updater is also required when vehicle programming requires the use the Dcryptor process.

Good afternoon, I downloaded the latest version of FLASH LINK MANAGER 4.51, the program opens but it does not start, it is constantly loading. What could be the problem?

No unit TABs window

I will log into flash link manager and connect the unit. It shows in connected and the firmware along the bottom. But no screen shows up that offers the tabs
