Installed Evo-All, Ver 6, firmware 75.21 beta, with C1, D1, D2. Used guide 60531, Ver 20160608. Added 'Brake must be pressed to start' diagram from 2016 Jett's schematics. Wrapped key as instructed.
Results: Car started then stopped immediately. Consol display displayed 'key not recognized' and 'press brake to start' . Car did start after third try but had no control with Fob. Had to stop with valet wires.
Note: car starts normally with key in ignition and brown wire cut.
Reflashed Evo with 75.20, 75.21 beta, rechecked wiring, diodes, rewrapped key fob. Checked other sister car schematics and noticed transponder wire to cut was 'blue' . Guide 60531 indicates brown wire!
Reconnected brown wire and cut blue wire. (Note: for future installers, the colored pictures indicates what color wire is used).
With blue tramsponder wire, rewrapped key with 22 gage wire. Results: car starts but now shuts down after 5 seconds. Console display shows 'press brake to start' and key not recognized is gone.
Note: car starts normally with key in ignition and blue wire cut
Any input is appreciated but now I have two problems.
First, Car starter won't start...
Second, the wires on the red plug have loosened and the starter wire has disconnected from the red plug. I need a new wire set in case this set was defective... and to start over again.
Any suggestions? This is my third car install with Evo-one stand alone. They have been very dependable in all weather conditions.
