Honda SL3 blue wire required?

I'm installing the Honda SL3 on a 99 Accord for immobilier bypass only (no remote start) on a replacement ECU. Based on the instructions... https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/27521/honda-sl3.revzc.pdf I'm not clear on the blue wire. If I am not using a remote starter do I just ignore that wire? If not, what exactly is it wired to?

I purchase and started installing a Honda SL3 Bypass module on my 2013 Honda civic. Can that module work??

The alarm used was Autopage RS730. We connected the alarm, found the starter wire and connected to output. Whenever key is press 2 times, the ignition comes on, the car engine turns over but wont start. The key light blinks 4 times. The module was not programmed as yet thou. There are 4 connection that ought to be connected from the bypass module to the Key immobilser section. Data, Lamp in, Lamp out and Synro I would like a diagram displaying where these connections must go to or a diagram displaying where the data, lamp in and out wires are on the car Key Immobilser harness

Honda SL3 loss program 3X in 2 months

I installed Compustart CS800S and Honda SL3 onto my 2005 CRV about two months ago, during two months, I had to re-program SL3 three times. 1st time it happens when I was inside the car testing the remote start, when the car starts cranking (but did not run as of yet), I insert the key into ignition and after that, it stopped working (it will crank but won't start and key symbol flashes on dash), I figure I put the key in during cranking caused the module to loose the program so I reporgram and all was ok. few weeks later, It happens again but I did not do anyting this time, so, I find it to be odd but again, I reprogrammed it and was ok. It happend again two weeks after, I am thinking the module is faulty, I see no reason why I had to do this over and over again, all wiring were soldered and I checked it again today. Any input?? Thanks in advance.

I'm having identical problems with HondaSL3 on two different vehicles

I'm working with a 2003 Pilot and a 2013 CRV. In both vehicles the programming seems to complete normally, but the remote starts behave as if the bypass was not working. We checked all wiring - everything is correct (we do 100's of SL3's) no t-taps. Both vehicles crank, run for a second, then shut down. On the Pilot, the security light comes on after the failed start attempts. Any suggestions?

FAQ - Honda/Acura stalls immediately after remote-started.

Problem:

Mode/Type 3 vehicles on HONDA-SL2 or HONDA-SL3 stall immediately after remote-started.

The vehicles battery is either poor or the ambient temperature is low enough that the battery cannot produce enough current during remote-start. The reduced current output of the battery causes the voltage to drop below 6volts DC during crank, where the vehicle's ECM resets several times. This can be easily seen by viewing the cluster while starting the vehicle. The cluster will blink (on/off) several times while cranking, and each time the cluster turns off then on the ECM has reset.

Solution:

Upgrade the HONDA-SL2 to version 1.1 or the HONDA-SL3 to version 1.4 or above.

Honda-SL3 not programming and remote start only works with key in ignition

I installed a Excliber (Omega) remote start on a 2005 Acura TL (base). When installing the Honda-SL3 according to instructions, the LED light on bypass never flashed to indicate programming. The engine will crank using remote start but it won't run and "Immobilizer" light flashes on drivers information screen. I have called Tech Support twice and was told to: 1. "ground the blue data wire" 2. "confirm Version 4.03 or higher" 3. "ensure yellow wire is reading 12V when key is in ON position" All of these things did not solve the problem. I have checked ignition harness connections twice (used Configuration Type 1) and they all check out. If the wiring was not correct on the first attempt to program the bypass module, would this cause it to not program when the wiring connections were corrected on any later attempts? I am losing patience with this situation. Please help with this issue. Sincerely, S. Duffy
