EVO-MAZT1 (Evo One) - Splicing and Errors?

Hi All,

I tried following the instructions to a T (https://cdn02.fortin.ca/en/download/62681/62681.pdf). It seemed based on the instructions that I needed to remove the Red (Door data) and lt. blue (Door lock) wires from the data connector and splice them directly into the relative cables from the T-Harness.

These wires were free and not connected to anything on the other end, so I assumed this would need to be done. However, after doing this and trying to program my remote, it will not turn yellow and only remain blue. Can anyone figure out what I may have done wrong here? Now, I can't get into my car with my key fobs anymore.

Car shut off while driving without using remote start

My Mazda 6 with Push-to-start shut off on me while driving this morning. THe strange thing is that I didn't even use the remote start. I started the car like normal using the PTS button. Any suggestions why it shut off on me. I don't feel safe drving it this way. I couldn't immediatly restart the car. Had to get out of car and start it using the remote start. EVO-ALL with MAZT1 harness.

EVO-MAZT1, Guide 62951, 2015 CX-5 step 16 then to 1-12 steps

I get as far as step 15 , install the Dcryptor, then step 16 says to first install the 4 pin data connector, then the other connectors, step 17 says to go back and repeat steps 1-12. Does this mean remove all the connectors that step 16 asked me to install before starting at step one again, or just disconnect the data connector and press and hold the program button. I am a little confused on how to repeat steps 1-12 again if step 16 asked me to install all the connectors and never asked me to remove them.

EVO-ONE or EVO-ALL for my application

2014 Mazda 6, PTS, automatic I'm looking at adding remote start to my vehicle. Your "solution finder" lists two possible solutions: 1. ("recommended") EVO-MAZT1. I think (?) this is EVO-ALL plus T-HARNESS. 2. EVO-ONE, separate T-HARNESS available. I plan to use a RF-Kit to extend remote range. Will I be able to completely replace my existing OEM Mazda remote (lock/unlock/trunk/panic) with the RF-Kit remote, assuming it has buttons for those functions? Or will I lose some functionality if I do that. And in particular, is the answer the same for options #1 and #2 above. For example, I saw another post where someone mentioned you wouldn't get trunk control with EVO-ALL, and that you would need EVO-ONE to do that. But I didn't understand why, and I don't see this limitatation mentioned on the product pages. Thanks!

EVO-MAZT-1 Takeover in 2016.5 CX-5

Can I wrap a key so that the engine does not shut off when a door is opened? If so, does this defeat any theft deterrent? Unit is EVO-All with firmware 71.38. Installation is T-harness plus RF-ALL 642W. Vehicle is 2016.5 Mazda CX-5 Automatic, Push-to-Start.

2016 Mazda CX-5 EVO-MAZT1 Programmed but does not start

We have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 GT w/Tech. I've programmed, reset, and re-programmed the module 3 times now. Hardware v6; the firmware has been updated to the latest as of today (71.34 I believe). The device is set to OEM remote standalone remote starter, 3x lock remote start, 15 minute run. It's installed and has been programmed following the instructions, #35221 Connection 1 (REMOTE CAR STARTER ONLY - DOORLOCK BY OEM REMOTE). All of the LEDs on the device match the output described in the instructions after every step except for the very end of the instructions where the red/yellow LEDs alternately blink. I pull the power on the EVO-ALL and then re-plug and all LEDs are dark until remote input. When I step away from the car (doors shut and locked) the blue LED does light up on each lock press. After three I see the EVO-ALL execute the following LED pattern: Red, long Yellow, Red, long Yellow, then three quick Red blinks. The car does not atempt to start and nothing lights up. The security indicator in the instrument cluster continues to blink. It will continue this pattern every time it sees three lock signals. When starting the car traditionally, the Yellow LED stays lit. I've read all of the posts here and elsewhere that I can find and I'm not sure what I've missed.
