programing

hooked up all wiring and im at the programing get to where you plug in the 6 wire power and hold the program buton down till the red and blue lights are on the plug in the rest of the plugs and hit the program button 2 times and turn the inj swith on and the only light thast will light up is red , then try to start up with the remote it will start then die and try t start agian but just cranks

do i have to splice into the t-harness with the pink ignition wire going to the yellow A1 ??????????
