RF912 Remote on existing RFK942

Hi I have an Evo One with a RFK942 kit and remote in the 2019 VW Golf, can I pair a spare RF912 remote to this kit as it is smaller, as it doesn’t currently seem to pair.

RFK442 evo one only able to connect 1 of the 2 remotes

I have been able to setup one RFk442 remote but when I try to program the 2nd one it does not work and get red flashing lights. Anything special to get both programmed?

Is remote compatibility changing over time?

I notice there are several guides for various compatible remotes on the website - thank you for those detailed guides! However, reading through Q&A and looking through available firmware on FlashLink Manager, I notice there are several firmware options that people have had success with other remotes - 0.44 for OmegaLink, 0.50 "test drone", 0.83 SmartStart 2.0 (for DSM550), 0.96 "Test Firstech...", and some reports of 1.24 being used for compustar/idatastart while others saying iDatastart remotes are not supported. I understand things won't be perfect and am not expecting fully backed solutions by Fortin as there is competition, but are there any general guidelines for firmware/wiring options to attempt to make Evo-One work with other remotes? Any "generally universal" firmware, maybe some pinouts that need to change on the 4pin connections, or at least what to do to prevent damage? I am really looking forward to using Evo-One for manual transmission installs, but my customers have preferences on other remotes they've had in the past. Most prominent cases: Python, Viper, and iDatastart remotes Any insight is greatly appreciated! Cheers

Evo-Start LTE North America network question.

I'm considering having an Evo-Start LTE installed. I already have an Evo-One unit in my 2020 Mazda CX-5 and it works fine but the OEM remote doesn't reach far enough while I'm at work. Before I take the plunge, I was curious if anyone knew what cellular network the system uses in North America so I could get a more detailed coverage map from that provider, as the coverage map on the Evo-Start site isn't very helpful with just a bunch of stylized red dots.

Just purchased a flashlink 4 updater. Downloaded the software but it won't detect that the evo-one is plugged in. Updater is on latest software.

What does option 24 do?

What does option 24 do? - No power output relay in idle mode - Ground output in idle mode only I will not accept "if the installation guide doesnt say to mess with it then dont worry about it"

Why does it ask me for a pin when trying to connect Flashlink Bluetooth module to my fully updated Iphone?

2017 Subaru WRX Evo One T harness Flashlink Bluetooth. Asks me for a pin when try to connect to IPhone but doesn't ask me for a pin with Android.

EVO-ONE External trigger

I am trying to use the Maduino zero 4G LTE module to turn on my mazda 3 2021. How can I enable the external trigger feature on the EVO-ONE to start my car remotely? What voltage is required to create the trigger and what is the optimal pulse duration? I see other posts saying that it requires a negative voltage. Do you mean ground or do you actually mean i need to use a charge pump to create a negative voltage? Is it -12V or -5V or -3V or GND? Please provide detailed instructions with pictures or diagrams if possible.

Hello. I want to install evo-one (002B04233785). But I can't open the bypass window. I tried to enable-disable valet mode, but it doesn't help. The remote launch page (1.25) opens. And if I go to the bypass page, an empty window will appear and SWITCH MODE is written to the left. When I press it, all the LEDs on the module start flashing together and that's it ...

Does the Bypass Firmware matter for DCryptor to work?

I have a 2020 Toyota 86, and followed all of the programming procedures from the provided guide, but was on the incorrect firmware (I was using 84.xx instead of 79.xx). All the programming steps were successful and I finished with the red and yellow alternating lights. After getting those lights, I unplugged the module to start the DCryptor process but got an error saying no data found. Could this be due to using the incorrect firmware? I am using an EVO-ONE.

DCryptor Limit has been reached

Can you please reset my Evo-One SN 002B04247071 Ran into problems with blown fuse and had to figure this out the hard way. Didnt realize what was going on. Now that I have it all ready to go I am getting the error for Limit reached. Thanks in advance!!

Turn off park lights while running on remote starter - EVO-ONE

Hello. Curious if there's a configuration option in the EVO-ONE to disable park lights being turned on while running on remote starter. While I could just disconnect the trigger wire for the park lights I'd prefer to leave it connected so it can still blink out any error/issue codes down the road. Vehicle is a 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, using the EVO-ONE on recommended firmware version. Thanks.

Evo1 vs evoAll for Mazda

Which one would I need for a stock car with no remote start? I only want to use the OEM key fob to control it and don't have any other starter installed. From what I think, the evo all is not stand alone, which requires another starter from viper, compustar? But the evo one is standalone and so this is what I would need to be able to program to my oem key fob?

Specific  Mazda questions, but some background knowledge: Mazda cars have this issue where if a car has been remote started, the engine shuts off if the door is opened. It's a "safety feature " but clearly very poorly thought out. I'm wondering if Fortin is able to bypass it.

1) for a 2016 cx5 automatic, would the engine stop when a door is opened ? In this video below (skip to 15:15 if not already linked) you can see how this gentleman can open the door and engine still runs.

This video is for a 2019 cx5, but it uses the same key fob as my 2016 cx5. Would I expect same operation? I may have seen a user post a 2016 cx5 with the same issue. 

2) I'm planning to get a new mazda3, and install Fortin if it works well with cx5 above. Same question as above: would this system allow me to open the door and have the engine still run?

EVO ONE cycles leds constantly after installation when used as NO SPECIFIC vehicle

unit works great, but just keeps cycling the 3 leds and will not shut off when in the vehicle. Thinking its a step I missed when using the Flashlink?

XL202 option not showing in unit options for evo-one in flashlink

I am looking to get a viper remote/antenna, with an XL202, but before doing that i went to make sure I could configure my evo-one properly. Problem is, it appears that I can't. here is what i see when i open the unit options. Programming EVO-ONE to use MyCar telematics and RFK441

Is it possible to have the MyCar and the RFK441 coexist? It seems the answer is no. I can have both the MyCar and the RFK441 programmed to the EVO-ONE. And inidivually they will work and operate the EVO-ONE. But if I plug in the RFK441 into the harness of the MyCar to have both of them attached to the EVO-ONE, only the RFK441 controls the EVO-ONE. If it is possible, what steps can be taken to make this happen. Or do I need a different remote kit for this to work? Thank you. Jim
